So who was the "expert" who previously said in this thread that there's no way Apple will be able to hold all these phones until we get closer to Friday. Well guess what, they're damn sure doing just that. My phone along with many, many other peoples' phones left AK Monday night which means they've been sitting somewhere since then.....
No, this year is different because of COVID, remember? Someone knows someone in logistics who says they can't hold them. Everyone was so sure until they weren't but the truth was never in doubt.

I know my OCD had me order the new 20 just for that, Apple playing with me haha. Even though the 18 would only likely charge slightly slower.
I feel dumb, I have an iPad Pro 12.9 2020, and I think its came with a 20w charger. I could've just used that one! Instead of ordering a new one. I'm currently using an older 29w charger for my iPhone, and a newer 30w charger for my iPad Pro. All Apple branded.

I’m glad I also ordered the new iPad Air which will have a 20W usb-c brick included 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I don't know what included with the iPad Pro 2020, but I forgot I had one in there. I won't go to the hassle of returning this one, I just got. I never bother to touch chargers I get anymore, because I been using an older 29w/30w Apple branded chargers for a while now.

Still preparing to ship for a Friday delivery.
Apple is going to have to get these out crazy fast to hit that now.
That’s normal my status didn’t change to shipped until Thursday afternoon last year. Got it Friday afternoon no issues. Apples shipping doesn’t usually show up until it scan through Louisville or get close to your state. That’s why we’ve been using track by reference to be able to track it.

The 11 Pro/Pro Max shipped with 18 Watt bricks. Going from 18W to 20W shouldn’t be that much faster. For the size, and cheaper price, I went with an Anker nano https://us.anker.com/pages/uai2020 - even though the 18W brick would have sufficed. The smaller form factor is nicer to travel with.
I wanted too as well, but I like having Apple branded stuff tbh.

Before you buy an Apple charger, look at other options. There are a ton of USB-C chargers available for less money than Apple charges and with more features.

iPhone 12 Charger, AUKEY Swift 30W 2-Port USB C Charger for iPhone 12/12 Mini/12 Pro Max, USB C Wall Charger with Foldable Plug, PD Charger for iPad Pro, iPhone SE, iPhone 11 Pro Max, AirPods Pro https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086MWBMG4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_dKjKFb4P1ZS2Z

Correct, the only carrier explicitly requiring new SIM cards is Verizon to ensure proper 5G provisioning per their support article on activating the iPhone 12's.
But if you ordered a Verizon phone from Apple, it will already have the SIM installed, correct? That's what a Verizon rep confirmed with me.

I also had a $20 charge when ordering from Apple: "One-Time Verizon Upgrade Charge"

Looks like the IPP comes with a 18W

Waiting for the silicone cases without proper cutouts to become collector's items prior to even the phone deliveries. Or was that just the iPhone 12?

No one ever said that. Stop taking stuff out of context. What was said was that if they are delivered Wednesday like it originally was showing that would be a likely reason why. It was speculation as to why it COULD happen no one said it was going to happen or not it was all just a guess.
