Do you have a link to this? There are people on Reddit claiming that you don’t need a new sim. One called and one visited the store and in both cases they said a new sim is not needed to work with 5G on iPhone 12

Tmobile, for instance, has a newer SIM than what is in the phone. Apparently needed for standalone 5G.

I just spoke with a Verizon rep to confirm all of this. They can see the sim ordered with phone that I ordered from Apple, and will have access to 5G network. If you ordered an unlocked phone (non-carrier), then you'd need the new SIM card.

Still on the 10/18 scan. Still showing delivery to NY. Tomorrow is the big day to see if in fact Apple was able to get UPS to correctly change the address to my home in Louisville KY or not. Would be ironic if it came through my city only to be shipped to NY where I no longer live lol

Apple said no, its requires a 20w charger. The one included with the 11 PRO/MAX was 18w. So I find it insane.
Actually this is not true. I reached out to Apple customer service and they confirmed the 18 watt USB-C brick will work on the 15 Watt MagSafe.

EDIT: They also said it would still charge at the full 15 watt power.

Anyone here in the "I got screwed over by the website gang and just hoping I get an earlier quoted time than November crew?"
I find it very interesting how apple says they have everything to complete my order yet they refuse to prepare it to ship. As a first time iphone customer this whole waiting game has been incredibly unsatisfying. All my other apple items I received 4-7 days ahead of schedule. I am just hoping this doesn't drag out into November because I really wanted to capture the fall colors with my new phone.

You're not alone, dude. I had the 5 minute delay before the store was "ready" at 5 a.m. - I had timeouts and "bad gateways" during check out. The best dates I could snag are 10/30/20-11/4/20 paying for the $8 Express Delivery. My MagSafe case was scheduled to be delivered on 10/21/20 and it came on 10/20/20 (initially UPS made it seem like I would get it on 10/19/20 but it never arrived by 9PM) so I'm praying I get my PB 12 Pro by some miracle on 10/29/20 before I leave for Tahoe. I'd love to capture photos of Tahoe with the new phone.

Verizon sent me a new Sim card, Inserted into my old phone XS, and will now place it into my new Sim free iPhone 12 Once it arrives. Tech-support said this was OK. Tech-support also said that I didn’t have to do so I could’ve just use my old Sim card for my two-year-old phone and placed it in to the new iPhone 12

Anyone else on the 5:07 flight with me? Looks like it’s not going to land in AK until a little after midnight EST.
