I love pre-ordering time also. I have an 11 Pro which I love and am not sure I will get a 12. If I do it would be the 12 Pro but I'm concerned about it being larger or heavier than what I have and also not crazy about flat edges.

Don’t be concerned, when I went from the iPhone 6 to 6 plus then iPhone X to xs max, I got use to the size difference in 1-2 days, can’t go back to a smaller phone.

CAN’T WAIT FOR THE BIG BOY 6.7” PRO MAX 😍

sorry got a little excited lol. 😳😂

11 Pro here also. Holding out to see what the 12 offers. Will still probably be preordering a watching at launch time if I’m not getting a phone this year, but that 5.4” is very appealing.

I am most likely going to pre-order the 12 Pro Max in midnight blue. Hopefully the rumors are true and blue will be available. I have a Xs Max that is paid off and is in perfect condition, but I skipped the 11 because I was waiting for 5G and Lidar.

Depending on how much the regular 12 is, I may jump to that from the 11 Pro. Wasn't planning on upgrading this year, but the phone is just too heavy and I want something light. My fingers cramp up sometimes trying to find a comfortable spot to hold it. May get the SE 2 if the 12 doesn't offer anything special.
I think the 11 Pro is a chunky, too. It’s not so bad in terms of dimensions but it feels so heavy. I’m not getting rid of mine this year though. I’ve got too many cases that add functionality to it like a battery case and a Moment lens case I got last Christmas. I’d originally thought it was the ideal camera and video phone and was going to take it on scenic travels, but then the Pandemic happened and it all has barely been used.

I did get an SE2 for Mother’s Day that is a much easier day-to-day phone to carry around the house in my pocket or go on neighborhood walks or running errands while masked.

What I miss sometimes is the lenses my 11Pro has and the battery life. I use my 11Pro on WiFi for web surfing and emails because surfing and emails on my SE eat up the battery too fast. Even with modest daily use, the battery health on the SE is wearing out at a noticeably faster rate than on my 11Pro, too. I kind of doubt the 5.4” iPhone 12 is going to be much heavier than the SE2 but you will have to wait and see.

I think the 5.4” iPhone 12 could be a nice option for you. Digital zooming on my SE yields nice results but there’s no substitute for ultra wide angle and you will probably get that on the 12 5.4”

My husband is trading his 11 Pro Max in for the 12 Pro Max. That’s going to be fun. He is looking forward to a massive phone display.

Yea, I’m hoping Walmart is still offering the $199 SE deal at the end of the month as that is when I’ll be able to upgrade. Then I can get that and still get a 12 if I chose to.

That was one of the highlights following the Apple Preordering thread. So many people tracked their phones leaving China, the plane they were on down to when UPS rang their doorbell. I’m so excited to be a part of that this year.

I love those threads every year. There are many of us participating in a similar one with our iPads right now.

I have an 8 right now, but it is having some issues and I like having new tech. So I'll get a 12, but I don't know yet which model. Most likely just the base model 5.4". If the Pro is really amazing I might get the 6.1" Pro though.

I just think all these phones are so incredible, I mean even an iPhone 7 is 4 years old but it is still an amazing phone. That might have to do with the fact I only use really basic apps though. ?

Yeah, that’s why I’m wanting to grab an SE since I don’t use anything but the basic apps. from the post above though, the battery seems to drain pretty quickly, but I guess I can’t expect much in a phone that cheap.

How far do you think that goes if you don't live with mommy and daddy?
Plus it's over now with no idea what in the world congress will do, if anything, once they reconvene. And not everyone is even back to work yet with limited capacities. My wife finally got back to full time. Hoping for something to go through for supplemental UC for the Month of August.

We shall see. Apple can still announce it in 2nd week in September but decide to release it later time. They did that with the iPhone X. Announced it in September but didn't launch it later.
And this is all I basically want is the announcement with definitive info. I don't care about waiting for the actual devices within reason.

That’s what I want as well. I can wait for the device until November if I have to. I just want to see the announcement and see the devices.

Agreed. And hoping they don’t split it up now like rumored where they announce the watch and iPads first, and then phones next month.

I hope it’s not split up. That will be a hell of a announcement if everything was announced together. I would definitely put in a day off work to see that.

You're talking about pre ordering... something you don't actually know for sure what it is?

I mean it’s pretty evident that we are getting an iPhone 12.. so what do you even mean? There are 2 other Pre-Ordering threads out there. Obviously I don’t see anyone else questioning it?

With all the rumors circulating now which paint a very uninspiring image of the 12 series, I will definitely wait till I see the real deal and then decide. I am updating from the X and might even go for the 11 Pro Max if I don't find the 12 to be compelling enough.
