100% pre-ordering this year as I'm switching from a OnePlus 6T back into iOS after a long, confusing, fun, quirky journey through the Android experience. Looking forward to what they do with the standard 12 line - the rumored larger screen option 12 (similar to the 11's 6.1") looks great to me as I like a bigger screen.

Looking forward to (hopefully) preordering this year. I’ve stayed with my 7 since it was released and both phone and I are ready to move on. Planning on the 12 non-pro but if there’s a finger print reader in the Pro I will probably upgrade. Not excited to give up touchID for faceID, so finger’s crossed for 5g and touchID of some kind!

I think I’ll preorder. Coming from an iPhone XS.

But if rumors are true and there are 4 models, I don’t know which one I’ll get yet (I’m a bit lost between both rumoured 6.1 inches).

I can’t wait for the keynote to make up my mind 😊

Yeah, that keynote can't come soon enough. I'm so over Android at this point - I want that accessibility of the iOS ecosystem again.

I’m seriously tempted by that 5.4” model. I’ve been using the plus phones since the 6 with the exception of the X so I’d be stoked to have a smaller handprint.

To avoid Verizon’s $20 Upgrade fee, do I purchase outright from Apple or the SIM free model and insert my SIM card before turning the device on?

I agree with Susan. Buy outright. Verizon will charge you otherwise and since you are a new customer, you don’t have anything walk way threat leverage.

Yep. I also forgot to add as well. If you pick a carrier at checkout and you choose activate later, you will have to contact your carrier and have them activate your phone for you, so that generates the upgrade/activation fee.

SIM Free is always the best bet.

SIM Free Model. If you purchase the Verizon model, you will have to enter your Verizon account info, so they will still charge you.

Got it. Thank you. One thing I will miss with T-Mobile is not being charged an upgrade fee as long as I upgraded online or through the app.

That is a good point I had forgotten all about. SIM Free for the win. :D

I think this is the route I’ll be going from here on out. I don’t mind paying outright for my phones now. I started saving from the moment the 11 Pro was released so I have $1600 saved for the 12 Pro Max, and will be saving like this every other year for a new upgrade.

You will be walking your route with lots of bling very shortly. I rather spend my dough on the new watch right now (I think) and maybe get the new phone a few months later. *

* Being male, I reserve the right to change my mind at any time for any reason. :p

The only thing shown is my AirPods Pro and Apple Watch (unless I’m in a bad neighborhood where I put my AirPods Pro away. We’re only allowed to use one so we can still be alert which I totally am for. I want the S6 for my birthday in December. Also do you think the S7 next year will be major upgrade over the S6?
