I think if you have it delivered to a location other than your home or a CC, you risk a delay happening.
If it's delivered to a UPS store, it's usually not available until next business day. If its held at CC, you can pick it up usually at open.

My case is being delivered today and it's almost here! Hoping when my phone gets delivered, it comes this early!
If it’s on the same truck, I can’t image they would make two trips.
Thanks for the replies. The CC opens at 2 and I cant make it by then. Leaving at 3 for a weekend trip. Ill get my phone Monday now. Thats a bummer (UPS delivers usually by 8:30 pm here)

Very close (just a couple of minutes off) from the SDF-SAN flight my AW6 took the day prior to delivery..
I think it requires being transported to a hub offsite of the airport. When we see ONT scans, it's not leaving the airport. If its meant to stay in ONT then it will be offloaded and transported to the local hub in ONT.
True, makes sense. Only UPS can tell if "Ontario, CA" on a scan is the scan at the airport, or the scan at the CC.
Ugh dude. That sucks. I'm in the same boat. Won't be home during my scheduled delivery. *SIGH*
I was hoping for the same! My case did come 1 day early. If my phone could just come 1 day before the earliest scheduled date of 10/30/20 I'll actually be home to receive it. Good luck to you!
Yea, that doesn't seem right. It'll be e-sim compatible but not set up yet. I asked the same question about a new sim and one rep I spoke to told me that sim-free phones from Apple *always* come with sim cards in the box. Rather insistent about it too. 🙄
Usually I have it notated in the tracking history that it has been requested. it's just weird that there is no confirmation of it at all. I will try again once it lands in CA around 5pm.

It's been quite a roller coaster for me. I accidentally checked out with an old address, but had a 10/23 delivery date. I chatted with CS and they were able to change the address.. I showed 10/23 delivery up until a few days ago, when it slipped to 5-7 business days and "processing"... it's been like that since.
Great news! That’s one of the reasons I ordered the pro instead of the pro max, aside from the obvious reason of not wanting to wait three extra weeks. If the new phone it comes out next September, we should save one monthly payment.
Yeah, I've been picking up at Ontario CC every year since the Iphone 6 Plus. The CC is on Jurupa (3480 E Jurupa St, Ontario, CA 91761) to be exact.
That kind of makes sense as that is when the 12th payment will come out. So you essentially lose the value of the 12th payment because you won't be keeping the phone for the entire month, but you will at least be able to upgrade on time.
There's a good chance that it'll be delayed until Monday if you select the UPS Store (unless the driver that services your house also services that store on the same day, but it's risky: I'd still rather drive to the Customer Center). At the Customer Center, it'll be available for pickup when the doors open Friday. Mine opens at 8:30 am, and there's always about 10 people lined up outside before opening on iPhone launch day.

To confirm, thats across from the airport, right? I should have been more clear in my original post, I meant from the airport itself.
