Since I actually have another Next Day Air item arriving tomorrow I wonder if that means my phone will tag along and arrive before the usual 4-7pm...
My Watch was delivered early on launch day as I happened to have a Next Day shipment. I did post earlier in the week suggesting people could try to get an early delivery by making sure to have a Next Day item on Friday.

Not sure how those distribution things work on iPhone day, but good luck!

Next level nerd 🤓: we should see if we can create a “decoder ring” for next cycle.

Someone set up a Google Sheet where we enter conf email time, model spec ordered, ship to zip, depart China time, import scan time, etc and see if we can figure out how things get assigned to flights, palletized, etc.

I’m boring store pickup this year so I have nothing to add :(

Just passing by to say hi . Finally us poor europeans got our shipping info a few hours ago ! Only about 300 updates on the Europe tread and everyone is sober ;)
Nice to have you stop by and join us. Everyone has been very anxious this week. From going from not getting a proper scan from China to tracking a completely wrong plane.

It potentially can be pushed back if you change the delivery location to a UPS store or access point, unless that UPS store is on your driver’s route.
The warning I got (this was a number of years ago) when I clicked on the local neighborhood UPS Store made it sound like it might be Monday before I could actually get the iPhone was enough to put me off that choice! It is possible it'd work, but it was not worth the risk when the UPS CC is just down the road and there's never been any delay, or lines, when I picked up the phone there.

I'm sure the other reference numbers associated with the package (other than order number and phone number) probably will help determine patterns.

I attempted to select my local store as well, its showing Monday the 26th. Shows Friday 23rd for CC.

this whole thread is absurd because if your date has always said 10/23 since 10/16, then you will be 99.9% be getting your phone on 10/23.
It is comical to watch the furry, hype and despair that a device will not be delivered due to wording on a website. This is not Apple, nor UPS first rodeo with this.

Maybe you can do that for us. Maybe start up a Google Doc and everyone can Chime in :)

My Choice still shows an "exception" but the detail shows my requested change "pick up my package at a UPS location"

So I'm good. I don't think it will change till they put the label on the package.

Well there was some confusion for us. My tracking number said arrival this Friday but at the same time the calendar view on UPS's site said "Delivery Wednesday (updated)". So, there was fun in trying to figure out if it was a glitch or the phones were actually going to be delivered 2 days prior to launch.

Why so grumpy?

I think it requires being transported to a hub offsite of the airport. When we see ONT scans, it's not leaving the airport. If its meant to stay in ONT then it will be offloaded and transported to the local hub in ONT.

Yes, ONT is one of six domestic air hubs. The Ontario CC is a distinct location.

Yea, that doesn't seem right. It'll be e-sim compatible but not set up yet. I asked the same question about a new sim and one rep I spoke to told me that sim-free phones from Apple *always* come with sim cards in the box. Rather insistent about it too. 🙄
Exactly. I don't understand AT&T. There is no way that the e-sim should be activated. A sim-free version is supposed to be taken to any carrier or used with another sim. I have never seen a sim in the box, why, they don't know what carrier you are going to use.
