You can at least try to have them get a driver to retract the delivery and store it safely at the station. If Apple chooses to, they can then submit a request to intercept the package and redirect it.

You can try. I'm just giving you what they have done to me in the past. If I had my pick of shipping carriers DHL all the way. UPS is the worst.

Well now that none of the PB 12 pro's are available at the local stores any longer (some even became available today!) I can breathe a little easier and just keep praying I get a shipped email! These deliveries are so stressful! Wish I had been able to cancel my stupid timeframe order.

FedEx has already been around my road and finished. UPS said my Next Day Air delivery should already be here, I think they are holding it until the iPhone delivery time of 4-8pm. Very sad.

What’s your expected delivery date?

it seems the trailer/s going to the west chester UPS hub were running late. at first, the delivery date was pushed to monday, and then another alert showed up and the delivery date disappeared. i just got an update that it arrived at the West Chester hub, hopefully it's not too late to catch the truck. still no delivery date.
Yea do they usually up the cutoff time for sending out local trucks to deliver on big days like today? Usually if you don't see arrived at local facility by a certain time, you know you are doomed to wait another business day

First in line at the customer center! UPS account updated to show its held. Glad I’ll be able to get in and out and get on with my day!

Retract the delivery? Every turn of the UPS truck is pre-planned. Literally they avoid left turns. They don’t revisit houses once a delivery is made. That’s why if you call in a mis-delivery they have it picked up the next day. You can’t redirect a package once delivered.

I think he was hoping (reasonably) that Apple would make a correction and ask UPS to intercept the package to go to his actual address (or at least retract the package entirely).

Oh. That's just silly. You validate the address when you verify shipping and payment and when you get your invoice you see the shipping address. Then you add 7 days to change routing of UPS to send it to your local CC. Seems like a lot of assuming. Its sh*tty situation. I hope he can get it fixed.

I'm the gal with the 10/30-11/4 window who won't be home that weekend 🤣

If it arrives early anywhere from the 27-29th I'll be okay. OR if it arrives after 11/2/20. It just burns me up that if I hadn't pre-ordered I could have ordered/picked up my phone today! But there was no way of knowing that, obviously. SIGH.

Got my Sim-Free phone from Apple and they gave me a 5G ATT Sim. How do I activate that? do I have to bring it to the store? Activation page for ATT says I don't have any devices eligable for activation.

There’s always gotta be that person. I feel like using the Follow My Delivery map to find the driver and ask for your stuff is just wrong and a dick move. Anyone else? Ya I’m super excited and wanted my phone as soon as possible but I held mine for pickup not chased the UPS guy down on the street.

True, but a supervisor could get a driver to "break route" if asked to do so. That's also how the "confirmed delivery windows" work if honored... a driver has to generally "break route" to meet that commitment, so you should show some extra special love to your driver for doing so and possibly extending the rest of his/her day out further than needed.
