Had a weird bug when I tried to restore from iCloud. 12 Pro backed up my iPhone X and then restored from that. Well when it finished, WiFi wasn't staying connected and I have poor cell coverage in my area so I knew the restore wouldn't complete. Looking at the settings screen, you could see the toggle for VPN flickering on and off. I use Private Internet Access so I'm not sure if there was an issue with the VPN even though it wasn't downloaded yet.

I then erased the phone completely and did the restore except this time I did it directly from my iPhone X via direct transfer. Fixed the problem and its downloading the remaining apps now.

Sounds like maybe an issue with the VPN restoring from the backup maybe?

Tempered glass screen protectors are where it's at.

just my luck...still says delivering today but there’s zero bad weather so I’m unsure what “emergency situation” is and “delivery will be rescheduled” makes me nervous

This makes me think of Phantasy Star. You can equip the iP 12 to increase Fire Res.

Same here. Waiting for the Pro Max as well. My UPS driver comes at different times for some reason, unless it is a Next Day Air and he has to come during the specific times. The good thing though, is that he knows my wife and I by name and when we see him around town, he will always give us our packages if they haven't been delivered to the house. What a great guy!!! I never follow him around town just to see if he has anything, that is why I have UPS My Choice. It's by chance that I would run into him.

Apparently my phone arrived in Louisville on Wednesday, then Philly on Thursday, and then back to Louisville on Friday. Just got a departed from facility notification in Louisville. Was your tracking delayed until Monday? You are giving me some hope at least for it to be delivered today :)

Ooooh, you're dangerous. I like it. ;)

(I'm cheaping out on AppleCare... If I would have bought the phone outright I would have gotten AC but in all my years I have never used it)

Yup the one for me last year was preorder ASAP and get launch day in store. Literally in the early morning of launch day they send a Delayed email that I see right when I wake up 😠 Nice of them to give me some notice. Got lucky and was able to get on in store on Sat. And the worst part is the email also lied about it being ready by the weekend. I don't think the original order was ready until Mon or Tue. Then every time I tried to cancel it online, it gave an error. Just let time run out, and it finally canceled.

I've never used it either knock on wood. But being able to go no case with peace of mind is worth the $200. Plus if you upgrade next year and don't use the AppleCare you can actually return it and get about $95 of it back.

I had three of the iPhones I ordered delivered today, but mine is from apple and it says delayed. Even though tracking shows it out for delivery. UPS delivered two of my phones and this was on the same route as the others. Mine was ordered right when preorders starting. The other three were ordered on Verizon days later and they came first. Lol
