Call UPS and ask them to open a lost package claim. UPS says this can be done if the package is 24 hours past it's delivery date with no movement.
My silver iPhone 12 pro 256gb that was delivered yesterday. Has been returned to the apple store earlier today.

I think the Pro Max's are too big... but if you had a Max before of course you're going to think it's too small. You acclimate to what is habitual and natural. Speaking of, I dunno why (I must still have memory of the 4 / 5 days) but I keep looking for the power button up on the top right of the phone 😂 ! But personally I love the screen size of the Pro (and would maybe even consider a mini but that might seem too small) because I am a PRO 😉at texting with one hand! I hate texting with two so the MAX is out for me. But it's nice we have variety now... remember when we didn't?!?
Considering I am coming from an iPhone 6S Plus on Verizon, and I ordered a unlocked 12 Pro, I really hope my Apple Store lets me have a free Verizon sim card as well! I will see tomorrow morning.
Nothing wrong with it! I just don't upgrade every year any more. I wasn't that pleased with the silver. Hard to see the apple logo. A lot of money to second guess your self. Over the next year or two. I'm sure a lot of people will be happy with it.
People returning their Pros for Max, will we still get refunded to method of payment if we ship out the product within that 14 window given once “starting” a return. Or would it be store credit/gift card of past the original 14 day period of return? There’s essentially two 14 day periods of return and it’s confusing me

I stopped by the AT&T store first, and they said that they weren’t getting any 5G sims until next week (I’m petty sure that wasn’t a corporate store, though). So, Apple for the win!
They should be able to let you use the eSIM already in the phone for Verizon service.
This allowed me to have the 5G in ATT. It was a breeze and I am totally stoked about no more plastic sim!
I’ve already gone back to my 11 Pro Max lol. I gave the 12 Pro to my daughter since she thinks it’s the perfect size. I wanted to go smaller, but I missed two-column apps, the battery life (dropped from 96% to 50% recording an HD 30fps video), and the extra screen real estate.
I’ll be preordering the Pro Max as planned on the 6th. Trying to decide if I want the gold one again.

You're a smart lady. Hey honestly if you wait until launch date you may be able to buy one from Apple in-store pick up same or next day. I discovered I could have done this with my pro instead of taking this turbulent shipping ride. Of course, I discovered this too late.
Once you return the item and you get the e-mail that the return is complete, the refunds goes back to the card you used to purchase that item.
Which Otterbox case do you have and how is the back? Does it slide across surfaces easy or does it stay in place similar to Speck Grip cases?

Yes, if you initiate a return on Day 13, you have an additional 14 days to get the device into Fedex hands. After Apple received it, they’ll credit the original form of payment.
I say Day 13 because I don’t wait until the final day.
When I click Start a Return on my order, Apple says that I have UNTIL November 6th to start a return which means that I have THROUGH 11/5 to start it. If I tried on 11/6, it would be too late (although if I called Apple, they’d probably allow it: it’s happened to me before). Once the return is initiated on 11/5, Apple will show that I have another 14 days to drop it off at fedex (I‘ve dropped it off at Day 13 with no issues).
I have walked into the Apple Store to return a product that shows a return date of that very day on the receipt, and they have to get manager approval. The reps told me that the date on the receipt means that it’s returnable until that date (meaning I have through the day before). Still, the manager approved the return.

Just a reminder that a large number of people that got their phones on launch day originally showed on UPS the 21st. They all changed to the 23rd. It will be the 30th. Although perhaps that was only because of launch day. Hope they get them early.

They were very accommodating at the Apple store when I picked up my phone yesterday. I got the gold, but was admiring the blue and the guy told me I could switch if I wanted to. Hard choice but I stuck with the gold. Doesn't matter much for me as it went right in a case.
