I set up a pickup at UPS location this morning to see if that would change anything, so far nothing and my request is pending.

I also talked to Apple, as there are plenty of iPhone 12 Pro available at nearby apple stores, but because I use the iphone upgrade program they won't let me pick up the phone in the store. This is following up nicely on the heels of my lost apple watch series 6 ordered on launch day which has still not arrived. I am cursed.

Mine was to be delivered yesterday it's shown no movement in the last two days. And now it shows no delivery time or date of any kind on the UPS site. I've had to call both UPS and Apple a couple of times and ordered a replacement that won't take place for four days. This is the most upsetting experience I've had with a pre-ordered Apple phone.

Yes, turn off FindMyPhone on your old phone but also, power down your old one before turning on the 12 Pro to start setup. Through the years, I have always pre-ordered from Verizon and when I got my new iPhone, I would just turn off FindMyiPhone, iCloud, iMessage, etc on my old phone and then turn my new iPhone on and go through the activation steps.
This is my first year pre-ordering from Apple, I did confirm that my 12 Pro has a 5G SIM card in it. Would I just need to go through the same steps as I did in previous years, with previous phones? I'd like to try to avoid calling Verizon to have them activate the SIM card.

Lol ya. Trying to do the right thing and give the extras back but no one at the store wants to pickup the phone. It was an online order but it shipped from a store about an hour away so I’m trying to call them and seeiphone 2020 medium, haha
If you use a case it won’t matter much.
Nice! I like to order 2 of my case so partway through the year I can get he phone looking new again with a fresh one. Although with that Otterbox...you basically have your phone in a vaultOrdered 2 cases from Best Buy and they sent the order twice. I was only charged for one of each. I called and asked how I can ship one back and he basically said I can’t because it only shows I ordered 1 so it would just refund the one I actually paid for.
