I was worried about this. Im on an X, and went with the regular 12 because its lighter, and I love the real black color. Not worth the extra weight and minor camera differences to me to have the pro

Alright y’all I just got the MyChoice UPS shipping notification text. Scheduled Delivery date is set for 10/28/20 with a 1:30 pm - 5:30 p.m. window. Or at the latest 9 p.m. (which I hate so much) so if this happens I’m gold.
My MagSafe clear case was promised on 10/21 and it almost arrived on 10/19 but UPS didn’t come that day and I got it on 10/20. I have that extra day cushion for my phone to arrive but if it’s not in my hands by 10/29 I will leave before I get it.
Those who held at a UPS CC. How does that work? If it goes out for delivery on 10/28 as estimated someone should be home but the UPS driver discretion makes me nervous. My husband works from home and I’m going to have to make sure he stays put and doesn’t go out to lunch those days.
Ugh I finally slept! I did lurk this thread around 5 a.m. but once I knew my phone cleared and departed China I was able to get some extra sleep.
NOTE: Apple just sent me a push alert saying that my order is on its way with a Delivery Date of 10/30. Well they said 10/21 for MagSafe so I should be fine. Right?
For anyone who’s didn’t show up yesterday is it out for delivery again today?

I would just let it hold at CC and pick it up in the morning. That way ur not waiting for ur phone all day.
You’d say the pro screen is small enough that it’s worth trading to the heavier pro max? Is it mainly the width aspect?
3 hours of sleep yesterday then went hard all day for iPhone day. Slept have the night woke up like 1am wide awake played with my phone some more till 3am fell back asleep woke back up at 1030am. Oof eyes feel like they are gunna roll out of my head.

Well its too small for me. For others it may not be. I’ve had Max version for quite some time and going from 11 PRO Max to Pro makes a huge difference. Its the overall difference between the width and height. But when I was ordering this iPhone 12 I knew what I was expecting. overall, it’s not that bad because it is super fast. But the Max version is the ideal size for me. I like big screen. it’s easier to text, watch movies, type and so much more.

Oooh thanks! The only thing is that I work all day and I’m the only person they rely on to be in the office so I’d still be waiting all day!
I guess it would save me the stress of “when will it be here” or “stalking the UPS driver”

Good luck to you guys in November doing the pre-orders on the max or mini. I know you were going to be getting a max as well.
I hate that they don’t go out until 11/16 but if you lock it in for that particular date you shouldn’t have as much stress with UPS/Christmas deliveries.
Or if this preorder experience has taught us anything it’s to just do the in-store pick up.
I’m going to research which CC center is closest and what their hours are.
Same here - 11/3-11/6 window moved up - just received notice from UPS and Apple.
Notice "STANDARD DELIVERY" ? How come we get step child service ???
Everyone else who got theirs on launch day got "EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL" delivery...
I am livid with Apple for making us pre-order folks low in priority when the Apple store has them lots in-stock.
BTW: I reserved & paid for the same phone on launch day (yesterday) and picking up the phone tomorrow and returning next week's shipment.
I hope a return shipping costs, loss of Apple Card profit fees, and my disappointment will ring with Apple - but no - not this multi billion $ company...
So far, my LTE speed has doubled on average over my 11Pro Max, from 18-25 mbs to 36-50mbs. Nothing amazing, but a nice improvement for me.

you won’t be stressing out.
So, stoked about the Pro Max model. That’s the one I want.
Been able to hit 150mbps on 5G if I go outside I can even get 200+ sometimes.

I found this bad boy sitting around. I wish they would bring this color to Pro Max. You can tell the relationship I have with Pro Max version goes wayyyyyy back.

Yeah this was a super anxiety driven experience.... it’s not even over! Really bummed. Did you not pay for express?
Mine is coming UPS Worldwide Express Saver but I had to pay $8 for it.
Apple still says 10/30 delivery date and UPS says 10/28
I just randomly got my $8 charge from Apple as I typed this out. Shoot! I think I just realize that they charged me for express twice one for the phone and the other for the MagSafe case which I ordered at the same time 🙄
I didn’t want the case that fast but I didn’t realize I’d get charged on each item like that.

Gotcha. Yeah I have the 11, which has a pretty nice wide display, so it shows more content than the 11 pro. I’m debating between all 4 modes this year lol. One of my considerations is whether the mini or 6.1 devices might be too narrow. I’ve had max models in the past and adapted but I relentlessly try to one-hand them and experience some wrist and finger discomfort after a while. If I accept 10 months of two-handed use and the weight increase, I could be tempted to go for the 12pm.

I think it all comes down to a personal preference. I’m very used to the Max models that’s probably why. Some people love the MINI but that is not for me. It’s all about what user experience you want out of it. Another good thing about the PM version is the Camera and Battery itself.
I would just call them back and they will refund it

I feel the same way. Thought I could go smaller, but I’ll see if I get to liking it better over two weeks. I bet that I switch back to the 12 Pro Max, though.

I never fully posted my UPS experience this year!
I woke up around 2 AM, saw my phone at the Anaheim location, figured all is good, and fell back asleep.
7 AM rolls around and I see the system automatically entered I’m getting my phone at a UPS access point and it is now loaded on a truck!
Called UPS and they had to transfer me to their international line due to the China origin. The woman on the phone was very helpful, she was able to make contact with the local UPS center. She didn’t share the full story with me but it sounded like the person scanning it at the Anaheim location mistakenly entered their own location as a UPS access point as they were pulling the phones to hold them. My phone was never on an additional truck and my order eventually changed to ready for pickup!
Was a bit stressful because if I couldn’t pick it up at 10 AM on the dot, I wouldn’t pick it up til Monday.
