Preordered my iPhone early when it became preorderable. Picked it up at 1:30 PM yesterday. It was a very easy in and out experience at the Apple Store. Bought a graphite iPhone 12 Pro - 512 GB, set it up in my car, and it has worked flawlessly. Love the new design.

I hope everyone who got their phone yesterday is enjoying it so far! Picked mine up at around 10 AM at the local UPS CC without issue.

I know some YouTube videos have been made about this already but I am noticing massive LTE speed improvements with the new Qualcom modem and was curious if others have noticed the same! I'm pulling ~100 mbps down on LTE when my typical speeds prior were ~30.

Woke up this morning to see my Pro 256 PB is shipped. Original delivery date was 11/3, UPS shows tentative of 10/28 and Apple shows 10/30. Most likely the 10/30 will be correct. It’s currently in China awaiting clearance.

Pro 256 in blue was shipped! Originally set for 11/3, but now UPS says 10/27 and Apple says 10/30! Status says “departed Zhengzhou at 7:27 pm.“. Have to look back in thread to see if that means it’s on the way to Shanghai, as watches went, or somewhere else! Love tracking!

I hope everyone is enjoying their phones so far: I got mine yesterday, but was not able to set it up, due to other circumstances coming up. I have a question for the board....

Through the years, I have always pre-ordered from Verizon and when I got my new iPhone, I would just turn off FindMyiPhone, iCloud, iMessage, etc on my old phone and then turn my new iPhone on and go through the activation steps.

This is my first year pre-ordering from Apple, I did confirm that my 12 Pro has a 5G SIM card in it. Would I just need to go through the same steps as I did in previous years, with previous phones? I'd like to try to avoid calling Verizon to have them activate the SIM card.

It will probably arrive at another facility in ZZ, clear customs and then depart from ZZ, on it's way to ANC. At least that is what happened with the rest of us. It might sit in ZZ for a couple of days, though. You might not get any movement until sometime Monday.

Ok so here is my reasoning. When I called Apple thursday because I was still concerned it was going to NY and would get stolen, the apple rep said "have no fear, if they deliver it to NY we will simply write it off as a loss and overnight ship you a new device". They know its their fault they couldn't do something as simple as change an address when having 6 days to do so, and they were willing to eat $900 over it. Im just asking for AppleCare to cover the fact that I had to have my friend from NY drive 30 min both ways to intercept the phone and spend $100 to ship it +$50 for his work. I think overall thats a pretty damn good deal for apple
I think it’s reasonable as you have made the effort. But I don’t believe for a bit Apple will do as you say.

I pulled my SIM from my 11 Pro to use in my 12 Pro and got the attached text from Verizon sayings to activate the 5G SIM instead. My good friend and her mother activated their 12 Pros with their X sitting in the same room, not powered down. No issues for them. No calls to Verizon needed

Yea I got the same message when I took the Sim from my Pro MAX and put it in my 12 Pro. It still works tho. Not sure if I need to stop at Verizon just for a new SIM.

My old SIM said Verizon, the new SIM just says 5G. Not sure what’s different but it has to be some sort of improvement!

My wife’s phone showed up tonight delivered by a UPS guy driving a U-Haul. Mine came this morning in a UPS truck.
I ordered from Xfinity so it was delivered by FedEx. It said direct signature required. In reality it was dropped in my mailbox by someone in an unmarked UHaul. That’s a first for me.

Same here. 256/12 Pro PB ordered 16 minutes after 8 EST. Set for 11/3-11/6. This morning, I was notified it shipped. UPS listed 10/27 delivery and so does Apple. We’ll get it Tuesday.

Ok so I ended up getting an old friend to swing by the old apartment I lived in in Albany NY and overnight the phone back to KY for $97 freaking dollars. I gave him $150 for the effort. I am going to call Apple tomorrow and tell them I want them to either give me a gift card for the amount I had to pay for it to be shipped back, or give me 2 years of AppleCare + for free. I asked them to change the address 4-5 times this week. Reasonable? Think it will work?
Reasonable. They were able to get UPS to intercept my MagSafe case before a Tuesday delivery. There’s no reason why they couldn’t do the same for your phone (Friday delivery). When did you ask them to intercept?

Ordered at launch, all sorts of issues, Nov 3-6 ship date on PB Pro 128gb. Order changed to shipped with Apple saying 10/30, UPS saying 10/28.

PB Pro 128gb ordered same time, Nov 6-13, no movement yet
Could not order the other 2 until the preapproval dropped off, finally ordered the evening of 10/18, silver pro 128 gb and Graphite Pro 128gb scheduled for Nov 6-13. No movement on either of those. We’ll see how quickly they all ship. Thinking good thoughts. I feel like Apple is going to want to get all the 12/Pros out of the way so they can deal with the Mini/Max wave of orders.

Like many of you, very frustrated with the ordering and fulfillment process this year on iUP preorders.

I had a great experience with UPS this year. I thought touch less delivery meant I didn’t need to be home, but in my area, you have to open the door so UPS sees you. Now I know.

The door tag number wasn’t found online - they say you can make arrangements to pick it up later that day online with the door tag.
On way to an appointment less than 15 min from when it was delivered, I found and talked to a UPS truck driver a few blocks away but it wasn’t mine. He offered to track them down (I declined since I couldn’t be home in time).
Then I called and after about 10 minutes trying to get to a person (that was hard to figure out), I was able to get someone who was able to use internal systems to track via door tag. She had someone call me (‘within an hour’) to make arrangements to pick it up. It turns out the truck was back at the depot. He made arrangements for me to sign for it at the Customer Center and then I drove around to the loading area and he met me with the phone.

I can only imagine how iPhone shipments dramatically increase their customer interactions. Everyone I talked to was efficient and seemed genuinely to like their job.

Anyone get the 12 Pro, but think it’s too small :(

Looks like I’m going through this preorder madness again in 2 weeks.
The screen is too small for me LOL. Struggling over here to get my hands adjusted to the new smaller screen. However the phone itself is fantastic. 11 more days to go till pre-order starts!
