I was able to arrive early for my Apple Watch pickup window a few weeks ago. I was like 20 minutes early... they didn't even mention being early.
There is probably some grace window +/- but if you show up at 8:00 AM for your 1:30 appointment that's going to be a big nope.

Our store only allows entrance by appointments and at appointed times. If you come without an appointment, they instruct you to schedule one.
The bigger problem might be if they shut down due to the increase cases.

Ordered as soon as the Apple Store app would allow me to (I think at 7:04 CDT).

12 Pro 128 GB Pacific Blue

As soon as I double clicked the side button to process Apple Pay, I saw the fatal mistake.. the shipping address was set to a prior address.

I was given an October 23rd date. Panicked, I immediately messaged Apple support. After an hour, I got through and the specialist told me my order wasn't showing up in the system yet and to try again later.

I was obsessively checking order status to see if I could change the delivery address and it kept saying I had to wait several hours to edit/cancel my order. It finally let me cancel/edit, but NOT my delivery address. :(

Then, I noticed my card was charged... I tried contacting support again multiple times through iMessage (with no luck) and calling (with no luck). Last resort was logging in and chatting via my laptop. After trying to access support multiple times, I somehow found a way to specialist and was connected within minutes!

This saint of a specialist was able to change the delivery address and keep my original October 23rd delivery date.

What a rollercoaster.

Have you ever seen that orders get earlier than quoted?

Mine went through at 8:04 am EDT with 3-6 of November delivery. I am really hoping it comes earlier than that.....

The problem I faced in recent years from apple.com orders is that you can track the planes, pallets etc. days before the delivery. But you can't track UPS or FedEx truck which is holding your stuff in the truck on the day of delivery. \
If you sign up for free "UPS My Choice" you will have access to UPS "Follow my Delivery" which lets you follow the UPS delivery truck on the day of any delivery.

I love this feature!

Does anyone who picked up their iphone in store last year remember being able to show up before their scheduled window and get their device? I seem to remember that working out for a number of people.

My experience was that I was able to pick it 30 minutes early.

I thought I read that they do NOT require a signature due to COVID. My watch did not require a signature.
Right. For "signature required" packages UPS says that the driver may want to make visual contact, but will not require you to sign.

I recently had wine delivered by waving at the the UPS guy. Used to be "Signature required by adult over 21".

I’ll be upgrading from XR, to a 12 Pro Max (either black, blue, or white, 256GB or 512GB,) once they are available for pre-order.

Went in to order my phone via the upgrade program. I got an error when trying to move forward. Closed the app, tried again. Same error. I went to order my wife's phone on the website (White 128GB 12 Pro) and got the Oct 30-Nov 3 window. Went back to mine and still got the error. I tried for 45 minutes and watched as the shipping times kept slipping. Finally I gave up and ordered it using my Apple Card. I think I got the last 128GB Pacific Blue 12 Pro in my local store. As soon as I ordered it, my app started working and said I could order via the upgrade. I saw that every phone was back to the 2nd week of November. I chatted with Apple Support trying to figure out my options. Looks like my only choice if I want to keep the Oct. 23rd date was to keep the Apple Card order, order another phone with the iPhone Upgrade Program, wait for it to be delivered, and then send back that phone within the return period with my old phone to cancel both loans. It was extremely frustrating and I don't think I'm going to do the Upgrade Program again.

For anyone that was in my group previously for AW. I’m one of the former AW 2am’ers. I know some Of us expected to be back here for the iPhone. We were a partying group when our Apple Watches were in transit.

I ordered a Pro 256 in Pacific Blue. After getting my cart filled I kept getting errors trying to check out and sat there watching my delivery date slip from 10/23, to 10/28, and then to 11/3 just because of the app issues. Frustrating!

I experienced the exact same problem with the check out in the app.

Mine is now scheduled for 11/2

Oh yes for sure, I just thought they would tell me nope for being 20 minutes early. HAHA! But they were good. So maybe that'll help some people out.

Not that the demand for watches = iPhones, but when ordering my Apple Watch SE last month, the series of delivery dates got earlier & earlier, from order confirmation to shipping estimate to shipping notification. Hope yours gets bumped up in similar fashion, especially given the literal timing. I think I completed my order for a silver 12 Pro 256GB at about the same time via the Apple Store app on my iPhone, and I got an Oct. 23 delivery date.

I literally saw my date changed while the order was being processed.

Went back and ordered this for my Pacific Blue 12 ProMax. Glad I didn’t wait until preorder. IMG]//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201016/110b7bc195fc03f95acf37d13b57dcc7.jpg[/IMG]

Really disappointing that Apple aren't allowing pre-orders for the pro Max on the same day as the pro and thus shipping much later

Apple really do take the absolute pi$$ when it comes to customer service and it's only been getting worse. Announces 2 3 phones on the same day but the most expensive one won't be available for many weeks after the others? No other premium brand could get away with this.
You do realize we are in this thing called a pandemic? Supply is limited and manufacturing is limited.
