The weirdest thing happened. This morning I ordered
a Wallet with MagSafe - “Black” (color). I just checked my order and it now shows that a “Saddle Brown” wallet is scheduled to ship in Nov. Has anyone heard of this happening?

Just cancelled my order for 12 Pro gold with a ship date Oct 28-30 and re-ordered for store pick up Oct 23. I had trouble getting set up with Verizon this am and date slipped by the time I got my order placed. More excited now!

I ordered via the IUP and it's being shipped to me. Is there a way to change to in-store pickup? Or would I have to place a new order online and then cancel the other one?

I've tried calling in the past to switch and they can't. You'll need to place a new order (and perhaps get a later date). Another option if you're wanting to pickup is to become a UPS My Choice Premium member if you're not already and then request with UPS through that program to hold your phone at a UPS pickup location. This way, you could pickup, albeit from UPS, not from Apple.

Honestly, I dont see why people have to wait a week to get a phone for years. Just start shipping orders. Whoever pre ordered Friday should ship out that same day and delivered by Monday. The watches were pre ordered event day and available that Friday. Apple like to keep people waiting after spending 1k on a phone.

Been pondering this for years. Just have people order and start shipping as stock is in place. I feel this process is more part of a hype train than anything... builds a consumer mindset and makes a bunch of us go nuts to order right away to get it on "launch" day. I'm sure somebody with more economic background can chime in but I definitely see how Apple (and places especially like Amazon) have curated a consumer culture.

PS: You know a lot of people on here believe the shipping quotes are padded so there's a "great delivery" on shipping promises. Keeps the reputation hype strong. Of note, I'm not saying it's a bad or good thing... it's just consumerism at Apple's finest (kinda like Prime Day).

I ordered the iPhone Leather Wallet Magsafe in SADDLE BROWN. When I check the order status now it shows the color is BLACK. What gives?!!! My email order confirmation is Saddle Brown!

Ok so weird thing, never seen this email from Apple before and only got it for my case, not the MagSafe or iPhone. Didn’t even look legit with the space before the exclamation mark etc. had enough of my personal info that I guess it is, but never seen it before. I also got order confirmation emails earlier today

That’s why it’s called “preordering” and not just regular ordering. The launch date is already set well in advance, and all events/media/marketing are planned to coincide with that date. Any slippage or leak creates a ripple effect across the firm and industry.

Ordered for instore pickup in Escondido, CA at 8:00AM on Friday.. The mall doesn't open till 10 or 11am, will I be able to pick it up at 8AM if the store is inside the mall and the mall opens up at 10 somehow? Curbside??

Back in the day (e.g. the original iPhone, 3, 5, etc), the malls would always have a door or two open starting around 5am in the morning so people could go in and line up so I'm guessing, they still do the same thing (I've been having them shipped/live in an area with freestanding stores so not sure if this is still the case).

Here's a question: I bought my iPhone 11 Pro last year using Apple Card Monthly Installments. Can I pre-order to the iPhone 12 Pro now and just cancel the rest of my payments when use the Apple Trade-In or do i need to pay off this phone first?

My guess is you could still keep making payments on it even after you trade it in vs have to pay it all off at once.
