When you guys placed your oder did you notice better delivery times directly to your home/office or by picking up at the local Apple Store?
The weirdest thing happened. This morning I ordered
a Wallet with MagSafe - “Black” (color). I just checked my order and it now shows that a “Saddle Brown” wallet is scheduled to ship in Nov. Has anyone heard of this happening?

Local Apple Store times may vary, but for delivery, UPS prioritizes commercial deliveries (e.g. to offices) over residential deliveries for non-time sensitive items (anything without a time-definite commitment). Apple uses UPS Worldwide Express Saver, which doesn't have a delivery time commitment.
Commercial/business deliveries need to arrive before the business closes, whereas residential deliveries just have to be done by end of day (as late as 9 pm in some areas).

In case you didn’t know Monday or Tuesday go to ups and track by reference and search by your phone number or email and you will get the in the tracking info much faster.
Would someone mind explaining this in more detail? Want to be prepared for the Pro Max. I saw a few days ago there was a way to “prepare ahead of time” on the app, but I don’t see that option anymore. All I can do is favorite the Pro Max. Would love to hear more if there’s a trick to using the 24-month 0% Apple Card deal to save time on Pro Max checkout. Wish I could save it and a Mini (for my wife) together in a cart somehow so I could buy them both 11/6 with one click...
Looks like the iPhone 12 mini and Pro Max are delayed because of this:
"iPhone 12 Pro Max has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. iPhone 12 Pro Max is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained."
Similar verbiage for the iPhone 12 mini. Sounds like they're betting on getting FCC approval by 11/6.

I was able to set up in store pick up some how for a Gold Pro, I guess that's not the popular color this year near me. Was anyone able to select Trade in Store? I only saw ship option available. Hopefully I can trade in when I go to pick up. I would really hate shipping away for a trade in.

Local Apple stores by far... Four of the Apple Stores within 50 miles of me still have "iPhone 12 Pro 128GB Pacific Blue Verizon", Ready for Pickup October 23rd, a fifth is ready for pickup October 24th. I have to believe that is one of the more popular models. If you change up color, size, and carrier options, you get varying levels of stock. But still better than 2-3 weeks shipping.

if you have it held for pickup at the UPS Customer Center, you can pick it up when the doors open that morning. It’s what I do every year.
I just read a thread about that in iPhone accessories. A lot of people ordered black and it switched to brown, and others the opposite. Apple messed up somehow.
