UPS Customer Centers are found on-site at UPS operating distribution centers, while a UPS Store are separate retail locations. Your package will arrive at the local distribution center first and then be delivered by truck to the UPS Store. So it will be quicker to pick up at Customer Center, if one is local to you.

UPS site doesn't list it as a Customer Center. Shows up as a "Customer Counter"

What's the difference in having my package held at a UPS store vs Customer Center?
Basically, a Customer Center is associated with the UPS hub that has the delivery trucks that deliver to your particular house. Holding at a CC usually doesn’t incur any additional delay. Holding at a random UPS store means that your package now has to travel from the hub, to the store. Thus, there might be additional delay.

UPS Stores typically end up being one of the last stops for the day, and you could see the tracking page delay your delivery date by a day or two. CC is their "warehouse/hub" where packages get sorted for your local area, so your package will typically be available first thing in the morning.

I've picked up my last 2-3 phones at the CC - small line in the morning before they open up at 8am, otherwise smooth. I just changed my order to CC pickup.
My UPS store gets deliveries around 11 am.. .way earlier than my house does...

Dang..... I still don't even have a tracking number. Trying to search by reference number with hone and order... nothing.

I'm not worried about not getting my phone... I just want to be able to join in the tracking fun!

For those of us XS’ers - I have a theory that our phones are already stateside. No movement for any of us according to this thread so far.

So my Watch arrived in Shanghai at 7:04pm and UPS81 took off from Shanghai to Anchorage at 10:19pm, I wonder if our phones/watches are on that flight and the tracking has just not been updated.

Unlikely tomorrow is when you should expect planes taking off with the products..

Has anyone been able to locate tracking for a regular XS? All the ones I have been seeing are for the Max.

Nope. I ordered an XS, an XS Max, and Watch S4 (SS silver). And I ordered them in that order at 12:01 with all three completed in less than 2 minutes. The first to show up in UPS was the Watch and it's in Shanghai already. Then the XS Max showed up in UPS as arrived in ZhengZhou. The XS is still "preparing to ship".

I won't say you are wrong, but in all my years following this, I never recall my phone starting here in the US. First time for everything though!
