Thanks, the store is 2mi away while the CC is 4mi, so I'll set it up for CC pickup now.

Well, looks like the CC by my house won't open till 10am so I'll just stick with the standard delivery.

You need to make sure of which CC the package is going to be put on the truck (likely the one near your house, but I'd call to make certain unless you already know this). Also, unless UPS typically delivers to your home in the early morning, picking it up at 10 am from a location that's only 4 miles away sounds better than waiting around all day at home, but that's just me. :)

My UPS store gets deliveries around 11 am.. .way earlier than my house does...

It's an exception though so those are not automatically re-routed. Made the mistake three years ago. They are held back and then figured out later, not automatically re-routed.

My theory, with zero to back it up, is that the XS models are shipping domesticallly. The X assembly lines had been chugging along for months now, so those new XS models were probably started a few months back, since the X lines were shut down anyway since there is no "X" anymore. They certainly didn't keep producing them until they announced the new ones. They had a stockpile currently in-store to whittle down.

Those fresh new XSs got shipped out and there's already a stockpile of them stateside. Hence why there's no rush to ship them. The XS Max, being newer, needed more time to convert assembly lines over so most of those models were stored in China and are shipping now. Hence why we see tons of the XS Max models shipping but not many of the XS, besides the XS not selling nearly as well as the Max model has thus far.

Yes installing on my X now so I can back it up and be ready for the Xs when it arrives on Friday ;-)

Great theory but my space gray 256 GB Xs is sitting at Hong Kong Airport (by way airport is open and fine and they are running extra runways for other air traffic diverted from areas harder hit I just read). So not all are stateside, and as many stated here in general most seem to come from China rather than local. I see more local sometimes in upgrades done with carriers who may have local stock.

The ones who are saying "still Processing" make sure you check with UPS MyChoice. The Apple App still hasn't changed from getting ready to ship on my end. That really doesn't move until Thursday if my memory is correct.

MyChoice shows exactly where mine is at, at the moment. Which is Hong Kong.

For those of us XS’ers - I have a theory that our phones are already stateside. No movement for any of us according to this thread so far.
I got an update this morning on my xs gold 256. In Shenzhen on way to Hong Kong and...eventually...to california.

isn't it crazy that we're all here frantically tracking our iphones and we know damn well we will all get them on Friday lol. Ive been doing this for years and for some reason, most of the thrill is the ordering, tracking and receiving the phone. the thrill is gone a few days after receiving the phone lol.

Nothing here. Still processing, nothing in My Choice.
