Has anyone tried the premium ups mychoice? I know there is a feature that you can request up to 2 packages to be delivered in a specific delivery window. Isnt that better than dealing with the hub and all the hassle?

I have it but you can’t select anything earlier than the scheduled delivery time. It’s more for delaying it on the same day.

If the option was available it would show up (whether or not you had premium, only difference is with non-premium you pay a fee, I think like $5 or something). Most packages in my experiences don't let you select the 2 hour window - not sure what determines which package gets it or not.

Related story, one time I picked a 2 hour window, the driver ended up coming 15 minutes early scanned it, realized he was ahead of the window so came back 2 hours later to deliver it lol.

Walked into my CC here in Houston and had the woman at the counter change my delivery for pick up earlier this morning. Took my less than 5 minutes. I'll be there Friday morning as soon as processing is done around 9.

Yea, they usually give you enough time to process either a CC hold or the Authorization release form

They typically consider it "Shipped" once its actually going to the customer. The rest is just fluff.

Depends on the incoterms. Apple might only be responsible for the import.

Someone mentioned that some cities in China got hit hard by the typhoon. The airports could be working fine but if it's hard to move on the street level I guess that might make shipping across town to the airport difficult.

It's too early to move to "Panic Level: Mario Lopez". Right now we're just at a more cautionary "Level of Concern: Blossom".

I called UPS and verified my CC. Got them to change deliver to CC. Now I see date tentative as it’s dependent on when I pick it up. But I’ll pick it up this Friday if all goes well.

Did you call to pick up at your CC? If so, that’s why.
