My phone tracking showed up in UPS MY choice today even though my order from Apple still says preparing to ship.

It says it’s coming from Brightstar, liberyville Ky. Is that right? Shouldn’t it be coming from China?

Also if this requires a signature would I say it in UPS already? (It doesn’t say that currently.)

Mine is coming from china. Mine also does not mention a signature being required. Being an international shipment though some things may not show up until it is past customs and in the US UPS Network.

Mine was shipped in the 11:57 PM denature batch and arrived again in the same city at 2:10 I guess this was transfer from the faculty to airport? A lot of people are saying it doesn't say anything about a signature and Apple hasn't marked it as "shipped" yet.

I'm pretty sure this is almost treated like 2 different shipments even though they will share the same Tracking # from UPS. Apple won't say it's shipped until it's in the US and passed customs and on it's way to you. The first part of the journey China to US is basically just them transferring it from China to Customs (Likely at UPS World Port in Kentucky). Also once the shipment processes farther and is in the US it may then show "Signature Required"

I may be starting to regret advocating that people pick up their iPhones at the CC: this could get crowded
It's a 30 minute drive 1 way to my CC so I'm just going to hope my driver comes early (Usually he comes by 2 PM sometimes earlier if there are Next Day Air Shipments on the truck that are before noon) if I get the option to pick a 2 hour window I'll pay the $5 or whatever so dollars if there is an early window available. If not I just gotta sit and wait. And when I'm waiting for something good from UPS everything driving by sounds like the UPS truck lol. (My UPS truck is the older style with the 7.3l Diesel so a lot of trucks going by sound similar)

Brightstar is running Apple’s give back program. This is not your phone. And it’s Libertyville, IL, not KY.

To be fair, this is a minuscule, and particularly motivated, segment of purchasers, spread over over hundreds of CCs.

Yes that's right. Probably slim chance you'll even see anyone else there for this. At least I never have, and have been doing it for a while. And it's all hours of the day. Of course very early would be most likely, before people go to work, or after work, or lunch hour

So the Packages are being send through UPS World Ease which means all the packages clear customs as a single unit. But all the packages in the unit are individually trackable this may be why some hold options and some details will not show until after customs clearance.

Mesa, AZ opens at 8:30, I got there right at opening last year and had my phone 40 minutes later. About 25 people in front of me.

Last year for the X launch the Downtown LA CC had about ~30 people waiting in front of me at the crack of dawn for iPhones and it took them about 45 minutes to get through the line. LA is a different story than most cities, though.

I am curious if anyone will see updates out of that UPS81 flight that's coming from Shanghai to Anchorage. Lands at 6:30p EST, sometimes folks don't get scans out of CN but then randomly will see scans elsewhere. Side effect of the worldease product. I wouldn't count on it, but I guess the suspense is half the fun :p

I would rather just let it go on the truck and let it comes when it comes rather than messing with delivery options and risk delaying it.

Yes, LA is different from most......everywhere :D

But seriously, that is crazy. Best to go later in the day if possible, I guess.
