Also I was reading in here somewhere, where someone brought up the upgrade fee of 30 bucks. I was kind of taken back by that as well. I went back to my past orders and there was no upgrade fee on my iPhone X last year. What are, if any are folks doing about this?

Call your carrier and complain? Switch carriers?

I always keep mine in at least a bumper: easier to hold on to, as these phones are slippery!

We're 100% sure that X cases will fit on the XS, right? Like, they didn't slightly move the buttons or anything?

Well, they didn’t move the buttons but if you notice there are a couple new lines— at the top right and bottom left of the phone, the latter of which takes the place of a couple speaker holes that were removed. So if your case has cutouts for extra speaker holes that are on the iPhone X versus the XS, it just will look a bit weird. No idea why the lines are there. Probably best to use a case with the bottom completely exposed (like Apple’s leather and silicone cases) and they’ll look the same.

This is something you save if you buy through apple, b/c you can buy the sim free version and just pop in the SIM card you’re currently using and save the upgrade fee....

Last year, I was first in line at the gate at my UPS hub. About 10 of us had to wait for them to open the gate. As we followed the UPS lady across the lot to the counter, the guy behind me walked really fast past me to be first in line at the counter. I thought, "dude, whatever". UPS lady took everyone's tracking number at once, and brought all packages out at the same time. The UPS lady knows me from my frequent visits (I pickup other stuff there, too), and she gave me and the others our packages ahead of line-jumper-guy. He was miffed. 🙂

Typically all will still Say PFS. Apple won't change its status until it's import scan. So likely Wednesday and Thursday is when the status will change.

What is the worst condition you can turn it in? Do they care that much?

I read in the IUP 'fine print' that if your phone is cracked or damaged you have to pay the deductible on Apple Pay + before they will credit you for the phone on IUP.... Maybe they subtract that from the credit for the iPhone. Has this happened to anyone?

That’s not an accident. They don’t want customers to see that it comes from China. That’s not something they want to highlight.

Especially with the new taxes Trump just imposed on Chinese electronics...
