Carrier Apple.com New 2018 iPhone Pre-Order Thread

I just signed up for the IUP through ATT. If I legit get charged $30 then I’ll be pissed. I have bought my phone every year, and avoided their BS fees. I just took a hard credit pull which I hate. I’d come out ahead financially buying and selling, but figured the convenience of the IUP was worth it. But screw that if I have to pay ATT an extra 30 bucks a year. Also it says I’m not getting the phone until 10/5. I could have a damn sim free phone on launch day, and get a LOT more back in cash back buying outright (5% through discover deals on Apple.com for the full price of the phone, instead of 2% CB on my double cash since it runs through Citizens I wouldn’t get the 5%, and its only 2% on half the phone)

I’m tired arm I’m very Whiney lol

I used my chase card and when I have made large purchases in the past it has been declined before, not for lack of funds but because they think its fraud.

If this happens will I lose my place and be forced to re-order?

They usually do a temporary charge in a few days, which then drops off, and the final actual charge will show up once the order ships. I’d call Chase preemptively ASAP and let them know that it’s a valid purchase and try to head the problem off at the pass.

The pay systems are different. Initial charges come from your saved card with Apple and the monthly charges will come from whatever card you have with Cit1.

So I just ordered the "SIM-free" Max. Forgive my ignorance, but what do I need to do in order to active/replace my current iPhone on T-mobile?
 
Seems like almost everyone has got delivery date of September 21, 2018.

Has Apple been well prepared this time or it's the less volume of sales?

Hard to tell for sure. Could be a combination of both. I would lean towards volume of sales as these are record high pricing and a lot of people are waiting for the Xr. With that said, dates are starting to slip especially with carrier options. Sim free is still showing 9/21 for most expect the 512 configuration.

You're right. There are lot of people who would wait for iPhone XR too.
 
I ordered my max (AT&T) and it ships btw 9/28 and 10/5. I bought my phone on the Apple payment plan, replacing my X. My watch doesn’t ship till the week of 10/12.

My question is, if I decided to go to the store early next Friday in the hopes that the Max and/or the watch will be available in the store on launch day, will it be east for them to cancel my phone order and replace it? Might something get screwed up with AT&T?

Most AT&T phone models can still be ordered for in store pickup for the 21st. At least in FL. Worth checking ...

Watch is a different story. However home delivery is now mid October, some models still have store pickup available for launch day.

Same for Space Gray. Only the 512 Sliver is not available. Unusual from past experience and especially considering that the dates for 512 models moved out within minutes.

I ordered around 12:05 a.m. PDT, and ship date for 512 GB Max was the following week.
 
Very happy to have been able to get an order in for Xs Max 256GB SG and have launch day shipping.

Now to wait for when the AW S4 becomes readily available in stores so I can replace my aging S0.
 
Is it possible to order an AT&T phone and use it for T-Mobile via the IUP? I am a current IUP member but switched to T-Mobile sometime this year
