I just ordered the iPhone XS 64gb in white/silver whatever.

I'm one of those longtime Apple fans who curmudgeonly kept his iPhone 5s because I lamented the loss of the headphone jack in future models. But then I realized I haven't used the headphone jack in probably 2 years now, so it was time for an upgrade. Really excited, this phone is going to be a huge change from the 5s I've been using for so many years now. I'm still not happy about the larger size (I think iPhone 4 was the best phone they ever made), but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Delivery date to my condo on Sept 21st.

Really? I find that hard to believe. Xs is the least popular one this year. On the App Store app right now it shows 921 availability even almost 5 hours after launch

I checked all carriers and all colors (for NY), Sprint and sim free had pickup in SG for 21st, rest were 28-05, Gold the same, white was available in all carriers (again 256GB) - I guess I was unlucky...ordered the 256GB XS SG anyway

Pardon my ignorance. Is the sim free model the same as the faster tmobile model that includes the 600 band? Thanks!

Sim free model included all the bands including international ones. It the most complete version that Apple offers. Includes everything for that model for that year!

I apologize for the ignorance in this question… But I haven’t been following that slowly since I’m not interested in upgrading this year (first year in five years I haven’t pre-ordered)… But what’s this SIM-free thing all about? Advantages? Disadvantages?

They usually do a temporary charge in a few days, which then drops off, and the final actual charge will show up once the order ships. I’d call Chase preemptively ASAP and let them know that it’s a valid purchase and try to head the problem off at the pass.

Call Chase credit card number on back of your card and state what happen. They will release the “theft watch that the computer has place on your card.

I got the store to come up at 3:01 (ET) so I have the mythical :01 confirmation email for both phone and watch with delivery on 21st, it was was actually pretty painless. Always Store App.

Mine was charged at like 6 am this morning. I ordered 3:03 am.

Logged on to the Verizon website to order 3 phones and a watch. After 20 minutes of trying to get the website to work I ordered from my phone. Email says the 21st but I am not holding my breath.

You can hold breath - this year. On ‘s’ series years most all pre-order people get their phones on launch day.

Hubby's phone got in first... he was slower getting through the check out process. In hind site I should have just taken his phone and completed his order and had him refreshing my phone. In the meantime I finally got in, got all the way too the cart but we couldn't check out cuz we both had our phones in there... UGH! so i deleted mine, he finished his (delivery on 21st.) i hurriedly did my order again and had a choice of delivers oct 5 - ? or store pick up on 21st. i chose pick up between 8 and 8:30. then i have to hurry home to sign for hubby's phone and my new watch.

So I called Citizens to make my 12th payment on Wednesday night and Apple still charged me the upgrade fee when I preordered the Xs. What should I do?

I'm amazed I was able to get three items in my bag and checked out, conf email received at 3:02am. App came up right at 3:01.

Both Silver 256 Max without a carrier and SS Watch 4 with Milanese moved to processing, and to deliver on the 21st. I ordered when the store reopened @ 2:05 CST. My Barclay Apple Card shows a "Temporary Authorization" for the full amount this AM. Received emails confirmations immediately after.

Woke up at 11:45 pm CST to order at midnight. Then realized it would be 2:00 am for us on CST, so I set another alarm for 1:45 am. Up at 2 but fell asleep!!! Woke up again at 2:30...

Moral of the story: Phone ordered around 2:35 am CST. Email received immediately. First time going through Apple App. I usually order through AT&T website.
