Carrier Apple.com New 2018 iPhone Pre-Order Thread

Mine hasn’t updated at all but it’s now showing this “next scheduled event”... I don’t believe this was there earlier.

Yes, Eastern Time. It says 21st delivery. I think it’s possible the tracking just never updated. I’m not worried. Even if it’s still in China, there is still enough time if it leaves soon.
 
Haven’t been able to get on the thread since this morning and there were 50 new pages to skim through! Wowza!!

Also my phone left Anchorage last night at 11:15, so I’m assuming it’s made another stop or two. I’m guessing a Louisville arrival, and possibly departure? I have no clue. I’m new at this - I’ve done in store pickup every year.

This thread is really neat though. I love seeing others as obsessed with Apple products as I. So cool!

I deal with with UPS on daily basis. Most of the time they don’t care who signs for it. I have things shipped to my office most of the time and my receiving department signs for it. As for the phone, I think it has to match for security purposes and that it doesn’t get stolen. I already told my UPS delivery man that my phone is coming and someone will sign for it even though I will be there. In my case it won’t be a problem, but in a form it might. I would leave a not for the driver just in case.

someone this morning mentioned that their UPS driver said the tracking systems were down but packages were moving as scheduled. I haven't seen anyone get an update today, I feel like the most recent update was ours at 11:15 leaving Anchorage, but I could be mistaken. I skimmed hundreds of posts and most are about how their phones are still in ZZ or Incheoon

I got an update on my watch today. It left Shanghai.

Hey guys, I’m going on Friday morning to try getting the new iPhone from pick up at one of the stores.
Can you recommend which one of the three should I go? (Apple fashion show, the forum shops or town square).

I was on the same flight, it’s in Louisville. Won’t move again until it leaves late tomorrow or early Friday to deliver to the hub in your city.

I’m thinking they can sign. I know people have iPhones sent to their offices.

once Apple officially changes your order to ‘shipped’, you should have a link with an option to sign a release to leave at the ship point and it will explain then.

You could have it held at any UPS retail/ access point. You can call UPS or sign up for my choice (free) and find your options yourself.

Ordered my 256 gold, completed order 15 seconds after midnight, whole time arrived by 21st. Today update it went back to preparing order with new date of oct 1-3. What crap.

UPS can handle Apple shipments but not the fanatics hitting refresh?

I won’t be home all day Friday. Tried to hold at UPS CC but nothing shows up, only UPS stores. Even tried entering the exact address of the CC. Any advice?

FYI iPhone XS 256gb gold still stuck in Hong Kong!
