I just updated my apple order online, and it is now saying the status is "Shipment on Hold" and "There is an issue with your delivery and the carrier is unable to deliver your package. Please contact us at 1-800-MY-APPLE."

My tracking was one of the ones that has been in Incheon 9/19 at 7:59 PM.

Anyone else having this same issue?

My phone that is scheduled for delivery the 28th - Oct 5th is now showing as shipped and has a UPS tracking number. Delivery date has not been updated yet though and UPS tracking shows no scans.

I’m not sure why I thought it was coming FedEx. I must’ve been imagining things.
you'll probably get it Monday. In the past, when they had less phones available for preorder, they estimated my ship date a month out..and I received it the Monday after launch day.

yes me also. there are a lot of us. on hold with apple now.
 
Im thinking of buying the Xs Max on the IUP program but i havent used that program before and not sure how it works. If I buy one on my Tmobile account i understand that the phone comes unlocked and i will be able to upgrade after one year or continue two years. My question is: What if i decided to cancel my tmobile account and move to Verizon two months down the road, does apple charge me cancellation fees or penalty? I would think the contract is straight with apple and has nothing to do with the carrier. so basically, since the phone is unlocked i can switch carriers anytime anyday, as long as im making payments to IUP.
The key question is: will apple tie my account to the carrier i picked on purchase day?
 
So I just found out what the hold is for. The rep told me that there is nothing wrong with the order and that it will be delivered on time and that is in fact in transit. The hold is due to an agreement with UPS that they can't deliver the phone before the scheduled date.

Sim-free 256 Max Silver received email from Apple that order has “Shipped” to arrive tomorrow but UPS tracking shows it’s still in ZhengZhou.

Looks like the phone has now departed incheon per ups tracking. apple site still says shipment on hold.

So I just found out what the hold is for. The rep told me that there is nothing wrong with the order and that it will be delivered on time and that is in fact in transit. The hold is due to an agreement with UPS that they can't deliver the phone before the scheduled date.
They should probably specify that on the tracking page because they're going to get a lot of calls about that today. But it also says to contact Apple about the hold...so they kind of asked for a busy day haha.
 
Has anyones phone gone from Hong Kong to Anchorage? I'm 99% sure it has to go to South kore first....
 
I have two phone orders in process, both ordered within first 2 minutes:
64g silver max: UPS Louisville - Import Scan 9/20 8:52am
256g grey max: UPS Icheon- Arrival Scan 9/18 8:10pm
 
Are the UPS tracking events delayed at all? I'm hoping my two phones are on UPS97 that took off from Incheon to Alaska about 30 minutes ago. No departure scans are showing up yet.

Hmm that doesn’t jive with the others who have been told that it’s a system error. Same result, I guess. I just hope they’re not making things up as they go.
