Still in Korea (and one in ZZ). Apple chat is telling me it’s on hold due to and issue with delivery and the carrier is unable to deliver my package (it’s going to the CC). Apple business chat says the same and can’t help more.

There are no issues it's just a system error

Apple said it should update again this afternoon and there wasn’t any shipment delays

Yes I expect that also. Given my sideline (I am geologist) of doing apple It for about 10 years after retirement I know servers (especially non apple ones we also were using) can be pretty wonky at times. Given I just got a notice my package arrives at house from UPS directly in text and email just now, makes me think package arrived in UPS63 last night (11:40 PM CDT, 12:40 EDT) and likely has made the 3.5 hour journey from Louisville already to my town in east central Illinois. Will be interesting to see the final data when the tracking updates

This doesn’t make sense. It’s gonna go the the CC anyways.

yep pretty funny.

Mine is missing the Louisville arrival scan but if you calculate the "departure scan" in Hong Kong is approximately the same time locally in Louisville as the arrival scan. So it recognized it left HK and arrived in Louisville and that would have been the UPS63 that arrived about that time.

Anyway I am getting messages now from UPS my package arrives at my house tomorrow via email, text and such just now. In fact given that this arrived at Louisville (even though mine missed that info) it may have already traveled here (only 240 miles to east central Illinois) given it takes about 3.5 hours to get here. The messages make me think it is in town but the tracking is so messed up LOL

Where in Illinois? I’m from Kewanee.

No update on my departure from Incheon but I did get an email from Apple about a billing problem for the Apple Care + Theft & Loss. It says there is a problem with the billing method and that I'm currently not covered. I would think it's a scam email but it mentions the exact model I ordered and actually included a serial number.

Not sure what to think. Just waiting to call Apple Support and not click on anything.

Otherwise it still says the order is shipped. I do not see anything about a hold.

OK, my Sep 28 to Oct 5 iPhone Xs Max that went to “preparing for shipment” yesterday changed to shipped this morning and I received an email from Apple also notifying me that it has shipped! No tracking that I can find from UPS or other carrier yet, my order page says tracking info will be available within 24 hours. Got the shipped email about 3 hours after the emails for a Xs and a Watch4 that are to be delivered tomorrow.

Why is my phone still in Incheon? With my phone in a foreign country halfway around the globe, less than 34 hours to deliver to Washington DC by 7pm 9/21, and an email warning that shipping is on hold, should I be concerned?

I am sure it is, just got UPS text and email saying my package will arrive at my house in east central Illinois tomorrow making me think that it already left Louisville after those times for 3.5 hour journey to my town it usually takes. My tracking missed the Louisville and Anchorage parts but otherwise same as yours in departure LOL

I’m hoping it’s just a systems error delay and that all is good.
