Apple says they are seeing delays and all phones will be delivered by the 24th and basically blamed fedex and ups. They understand it is frustrating and apologize.
 
Folks who got rescheduled to 9/24 need not have to worry at all. UPS will borrow planes FEDEX and make deliveries. We should be able to track ups shipment through FEDEX.

My XS Max is still showing Friday. My Wife’s XS said Monday now says Unknown even though it departed Anchorage 4 hours before my Max.

Good thing she doesn’t care about getting the new phone on release day :confused:

I don’t know what Apple could see that UPS doesn’t. Once it’s in UPS’ hands they have all the visibility.

Apple sees the same thing you are seeing on the UPS site/app. It's not on Apple, it's a UPS screwups. It appears that every UPS agent that is contacted is confirming that it's a website issue and you guys will still see your phones tomorrow.
 
You guys really don't think people are chatting with apple support now complaining about the same thing over and over again. Thats why they made this response.
 
For those who have done pick up in the past, did you ever get confirmation it would happen? I put in a request to have pick up when I first got tracking, but it just says it’s a request and I got an email saying that I have a delivery planned for tomorrow at my apartment.

Yes they have idea about iphone launch but no clue about how important this event is. They should check these forums and see how desperately we are tracking these things.
 
I feel like whoever is in charge of all of this at ups knows about everyone refreshing their page every 2.4 seconds to see an update for a 4 hour flight and decided to mess with our heads... once we have worried ourselves to exhaustion and pass out sleeping, they will fix everything and laugh their asses off! They are the king trolls right now!
