Well, pick up at the UPS CC was definitely the way to go! Only a handful of people ahead of me at 8:11, most for watches or phones. In and out in less than 10 minutes, staff was friendly and efficient. It was pleasure following along with all of you!
had my pre-order ready at the Apple Store. Had two reserved: SG and gold Max. Walked in at 8:30

My wife and my iPhones both took different paths to Kentucky, but both arrived on the same plane to Lubbock. Now hers shows departing Lubbock over an hour and a half ago, and mine still only shows the arrival scan (same as hers). Surely they didn’t have two trucks (the double trailer 18 wheelers, not the delivery trucks) to truck them out to the same place right?
It could be. Both my watch and phone left Dallas to come to Abilene over two hours ago.
Any destination scan for you yet? I'm waiting to hit the Los Angeles CC (I live in Elysian Valley/Frogtown, 4 minutes from the DTLA hub) but I don't think our phones will have gotten to the CC right at 7:30 at this point.
I have an arrival scan in Sylmar, CA at 4:50am, but no movement since then.
Don't abandon hope. Some of the reps are really clueless and they make up stuff just to say something. I always ask for a supervisor. They sometimes give me a hard time but I persist and get better answers that way. I also have better luck calling my local UPS CC than the 800 number. Most of them have their own local phone #, you can google it if you haven't already.I called UPS and was told my phone is in Louisville. I love in Harrisburg PA and have a hold at CC request.
Rep said he can’t find any date for my delivery and the phone is stuck in Louisville.
9/21 delivery date - no way.
Still waiting for my status to change to arrival at my location. Still at Departure. But I know it would be in soon. I looked at my previous orders and looks like around 8:30 am is when I usually get arrival scan. But then I do have it requested hold for pick up at UPS CC, and I'll pick it up after work (3 pm). Oh the tense.
Both phones Out for delivery by 3pm- South Jersey. However one of the cases from apple for XS is lost - was to be delivered Wed 19th with the other one. Guess id rather them lose that then the phone! TGIiF. Enjoy
There’s been too much craziness with tracking at this point to know what’s happening. I’m 25 mins out from the DTLA Main Street hub and I’m going to just head down and take my chances.
UPS must loathe this day. The IT guys are dealing with millions of hits on all their systems. The phones are probably ringing off the hook. People showing up at the Distribution Centers and probably chasing down drivers.

Have a 9/21 delivery date and got a text at 6AM EST from UPS saying that there's been an exception. Phone still says its arriving today when I track it normally and Apple says so as well. But tracking by reference on UPS says the phone is coming on Monday. Not sure what's happening

Yeah it's pretty all over the place. My buddy's 256GB XS Max Verizon (ordered via Apple.com within a minute of mine) got to the LA CC already, but mine hasn't scanned in yet. Let us know how you make out!
More people at CC in Memphis this year but still not bad! Headed home with my iPhone XS Max!
