Yes last year as I got my X and talked to driver about follow my route he confirmed that. He also said the computer picks the logistics of delivery. Generally my neighborhood is afternoon but he was there because of a bunch of next day deliveries to houses near me. He did not like follow my route because people get miffed when phone is close but truck never quite gets there to much later but this is why. This year does not look like much in my neighborhood and truck is not far from where he left delivering to warehouses, businesses and such so far. Says by 3 was hoping for earlier but most years that is case.

to be honest..the scans are all lies. this morning mine was in Pittsburgh (which isn't my closest UPS) and it said it left Pittsburgh at 640am still in transit, arrival scan in new Wilmington at 7am , which isn't accurate bc new Wilmington is over an hour from Pittsburgh, and then out for delivery at 8. nothing is accurate about tracking these phones. youll get updated scans and an out for delivery status change all at the same time. yours is probably out for delivery. mine was at 8am and my tracking didn't change until 930.
Mine was one of the 2:10 ANC departures and it didn't even have an import scan in Louisville when I went to bed hours after the flight arrived there. This morning the status updated to show arrival to OAK. So while the import scan does show a timestamp at the time I had expected, the UPS site just wasn't reporting it. So you might just be experiencing delayed updates. Hope so, anyways!
