I’m currently sitting in the parking lot at one of UPS’s Customer Centers in Louisville, KY (the one adjacent to the Worldport).
I was in the Sep 21 shipping group and marked my package for pickup at a CC like I do every year. I’ve had UPS drivers in my neighborhood not attempt delivery before, so holding for pickup has always been the guaranteed way to get my iPhone day 1.
I showed up to the CC I usually utilize this morning at 9am and they only had 1 package for me. It was my phone case from a separate order/shipment. They told me they think it’s at the hub. There have been no additional scans since yesterday at 6:04PM arriving in Louisville (where I live). I drove over to the CC where my package made its last scan, and they don’t know where it is.
CC said it could be somewhere here or possibly on a truck but they have no idea because of the lack of scans. The helpful customer service guy here is going to have some people go searching around the warehouse at noon as well as ping a few drivers around my area.
Normally I wouldn’t really care about a short delay, but I’m leaving for vacation next week. They will return the shipment back to Apple after 5 delivery attempts which I won’t be able to sign for. So of course I have shipping issues the 1 year it would be a problem :/
I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
