What app is this? Will it show tracking before the tracking number is up (tracking by reference)?

It’s called Deliveries. It tracks everything, from amazon to any type of shipping company. That is tracking my order from Apple directly. So I don’t think it will. But if you want to track it before you get your tracking number I use ups my choice and it shows all my deliveries to my address. Once you sign up (it’s free) you can log in on the ups app and it will show there as well.

That deliveries app is not working for me. I put in my order number and choose apple but it just gets stuck on connecting to apple.

Yeah I noticed mine also went to that stage last night, but now its next morning still in that stage....

Me too...and then you sit there with the tracking number for two days and the only status is “package information given to carrier” or some other BS like that...

Yup, I double and tripled checked. put in my e-mail and order # W....... I hit the + then Apple and filled in the e-mail and order number...and it just gets stuck in "contacting apple"... I even tried quitting and restarting the app and hard restart too.

That’s how I did it. Not sure why it won’t work for you. It worked on my first try.

I wouldn't worry so much about the typhoon...China is a big country with many airports.

Agreed..... last year it was quiet before launch day but during the week that’s when statuses changed and tracking numbers assigned

Stores have limited allocated supplies. They don’t ship your phone there. You are allocated one of the phones allocated to the store. If their allocated phones are already spoken for then the system won’t let you choose in store pickup.

I did the IUP pre-order and thought I selected Gold - I know I selected gold. But, my receipt said otherwise. Crap. Guess I'll just deal with silver 256 GB Max. Will be here the 21st, yeah!

Funny story about ordering. I set my alarm to get up 2:55 AM EST Made my order and saw it was coming the 21st. Woke up normal time. Friend of mine orders his around 7:30 AM. His comes the 21st as well. Either demand wasn't as high as it normally is, or Tim got the manufacturing numbers up.

Side note - the AT&T thread has a poll with all the models. Cool to see what model is more popular.

I think the buzz is usually much lower on S iterations of the hardware, but I know the demand for the X was actually a little “muted” compared to other new model releases.

I’m actually surprised the Max (still a terrible naming scheme) didn’t sell out super fast.

I ordered mine at 730am as well. Apple was able to work out some of their production bottle necks this past year and were better prepared for the volume.

How do you guys know which plane your phone is in?

Once you get a departure scan you can figure out which plane it is and then you can track its journey from there. Last year mine was on 4 different flights before arriving in Texas.

wife’s XS 64gb gold is preparing for shipment, but my XS Max 64GB space grey is still processing. Ordered last night around 8:45PM EST.
