I have my UPS tracking number, which was just assigned, but I am unsure which product it's for―my new iPhone or my new watch. If what you are saying is true, then it must be for my watch...

That is probably for the watch maybe? the I don't have watch ordered, only iPhone XS Max and on my tracking it states 0.50 kg, which is equivalent to 1.10 lb.

So you all are way ahead of me! Ordered mine on Friday at 2:02 AM Central and got my confirmation email at 2:04 AM Central. Got the Friday, 9/21 date for my 256 Max SG but my order is still Processing! I've called Apple twice and they say everything looks good on their end and that I will get my phone on Friday. Thoughts? Everyone else seems many steps ahead of me at this point.

Please give your thoughts! Thanks!

No worries. My experience has been that the phone is already in the states. Last year I had no activity until Wednesday and it got here on time on Friday. All the activity we see now are for phones that are still in China. I ordered a X 256 SG (2:11 am cdt confirmation email) and have not gotten a UPS hit yet either.

Did you order an S4 Watch? The .6kg and .7kg packages are watches... the phones are .5kg, as far as I can tell... I bought one phone and two watches and I have one .5kg package and two .6kg packages. Do the math.

Yeah, I cross-referenced the UPS reference number and it match the order number of my watch.

Yes. I cross-reference that tracking info with the order number (using the reference numbers) and it is, indeed, my S4 watch.

I’m worried because I couldn’t select the CC to have my iPhone held for me to pick up. I reached out to UPS help on twitter and it looks like they did it but I’m a little worried it won’t go through but let’s see.

I was only able to select my local UPS CC on my desktop. Neither the UPS app nor mobile Safari would show me enough results as my local CC was pretty far down the list.

We go through this every year... the tracking sometimes appears strange... and remember, Apple is still reporting "Preparing for Shipment"... but fear not... if you got a delivery date of 9/21, you'll get your phone on 9/21.

I'm a veteran at this as well. I'm not worried in the least. :)

You have to have a phone number associated with your Apple Store account... THAT is the phone number that you use... regardless of which cellular line you will use the new phone with...

Thank you for this!!

Was trying to figure out how they had my phone number that I was going to use to activate the phone with when I ordered the SIM free version.

Thanks! I have my choice but it hadn’t come up there either. I just got my tracking through reference number a minute ago though!

Pardon my ignorance but how did you cross reference

Got the 2:10am ZhengZhou scan as well. My guess is that we'll see another scan in the next 12 hours, or mid-morning tomorrow. I think it's like one more China scan and then off to AK.

Unless it gets held by customs like our 7+'s a few years ago and went on the crazy world tour of Incheon, China, and back and forth. That was torture!

Yep I remember that release. Every plane dodged the typhoon and the one mine was on ended up chickening out and headed back the other direction. I know a lot of people still go theirs on launch day despite the typhoon, but mine got to KY and then for some reason totally missed the plane to California even though it arrived in KY before the last plane left. They delivered it on Saturday when I wasn’t home so I had to change that for pickup at the CC on Monday that release. What a mess that was.

According to my tracking from last year, the new arrival scan in China. This is where the phone sat for 2 days before heading to Alaska. So looking back, 2 days after the arrival scan in china they moved to Alaska, so I'm guessing Tuesday September 18th we should see our phones in Alaska. Silent until September 20th then a import scan in Kentucky? This is just hunch based on last year.

If I’ve changed my mind on the color I want, what is the best solution to have a phone Friday? I ordered Xs 256 SG but I think I’d like gold.
I'd say don't open it go directly to the apple store..

My bad is I mean to quote the other guy who said his phone was on that atlas flight. But yeah nothing is going to change logistics wise as it’s no point. I’m willing to put money that the picture I’m constantlly will match this year tracking. Also there will be more than one plane, in which will stagger into Kentucky. Once all of the iPhones arrive the trucks/planes will go to their final destination. You can go to my post from last year in which a UPS employee corroborate what I said. But I can guarantee, 100% sure that the plane the previous guy posted isn’t the plane, not only that phones haven’t even left China yet.. People should go and look back at last years tracking thread..

I’m imagining all the angst here when the phones sit forever in Anchorage waiting customs clearance :D
