Even though I cleared my cookies and settings here on my work computer the site is still empty. I just remoted into my home computer and went to the refurb store and it's up.

I thought for a minute Apple knew I was broke!!!

I got this and I tried with 2 browsers.
That's really strange. I even added several refurbs to the shopping cart, to make sure it was working:

Works for me.....Wow, I would have saved hundreds as I just bought this one except I have a 2tb drive and a 2GB 6970M.

Refurbished iMac 27-inch 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 ($1869!)

Originally released May 2011
27-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display
4GB memory
1TB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
AMD Radeon HD 6970M graphics with 1GB memory

Built-in FaceTime HD camera

i just checked on my iPad (with wifi turned off on LTE) and it's still showing no refurbs available.

This is really weird. I also tried using firefox (which i use infrequently at best) and it didn't work either.

I am showing stock but its limited. only 4 or 5 imacs. mac mini is grayed out and no items. plenty of laptops though.

When I saw this post I went to the store and checked (around 3:40 PM EST)... all refurbs were available.

I just checked again now, 5:05 PM EST, and nothing is available.

Apple is probably having trouble with their servers.

There's another thread that was created on this same issue... and over there different people are seeing very different things, at different times, as well. I suspect Apple is having issues with their systems - not that there is massive buying spree that clears the shelves as fast as Apple can restock.

For the record, refurb store works fine for me - and is well stocked at the moment.

The only items it's showing to me as out of stock/grayed out are Mac Minis and iPod Classics.

Same in Australian store. No refurbs since 2 days ago, only a handful of I touches.
Could be this a change in their strategy?
Acer stopped selling refurbs via their site some time ago and are selling them via auction houses now.

It's like that news item recently (WSJ?) that revealed that certain travel sites sold products at higher prices to people with Macs than people with PCs, as detected from their browser info.

Obviously some losers here are not Refurb Worthy. Your desperation is manifest; Apple can feel your Mac-desire throbbing through your browser info. You've given up all your cards; the best deal YOU are going to get is Full Retail. ;)

Meanwhile, it detects I'm a Cheap Boy using ancient equipment, and it has adjusted its prices for me accordingly. Too bad for you. :D

it's working now. Kinda funny really. Good thing i wasn't planning on buying today.

Not working for me. Everything is greyed out. Same on both my iMac and MBP. Gonna check the iPad next. Really strange.

Update: Same results on iPad

First time I've ever seen this happen, and it was at the time I was about to purchase my first Mac. It's a sign from God...

Its not working for me. Cleared Cache, cleared data, etc.

Too bad wanted to buy a Mac mini.

I guess it knew the machine I am on is a refurb I bought 2 weeks ago and as such, Apple has decided that I have hit my limit on refurbs this quarter and should buy brand new for a while.
