I've been looking frequently for maybe the past month at 15" Macbook Pros. They were nearly all 2011 models.

Suddenly there were a bunch of 2010 models as well. And now it's totally empty.

I don't know if it's a sign or what. Maybe they periodically halt everything for auditing prices?

Could be that Apple is following the same path as Acer, Sony and going to clear their obsolete and refurbished stock via auction clearing houses, e.g. Gray's in Australia.

I can confirm, as with Michael360, that Refurb site in Hong Kong is gone - I linked in first from Edu store and nothing.

Perhaps iMacs and 13in Macbook Pro Retina's are being rolled out shortly.

Presently in the market for new BTO 27in iMac and 13in Macbook Pro - will install 480G SSD once get item.

I posted this over in whirlpool in Australia. But I complied a list of the international stores which have refurb macs and the ones which went down two days ago like Australia.

International Apple Stores with Refurbs

  • United States
  • Canada
  • UK
  • France
  • Germany
  • Austria
  • Switzerland
  • Spain
  • Italy
  • Ireland
Stores without (all seemly got emptied at the same times as ours)

  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • South Korea
  • Singapore
  • Taiwan
  • Hong Kong
  • China
  • Japan

No refurbs in US all evening. I'm wondering how long before we see an iPad 3.

Maybe they are adjusting the refurb program to allow for easier resale or recycling... something better than EPEAT was offering.

The apple refurb store is back up. I was just about to post that it was still down and voilá its back up.

It looks like there are no changes that I can tell?

Yet using your link everything is out of stock.

Are you sure?

Hey guys, this is the most bizarre situation. I got tired of waiting today and decided to see what was going on with the chat feature of the online store. That person didn't seem to know anything about it and said it worked fine for them on multiple browsers. What could possibly be causing this if Apple themselves have been unaware of it? If it hasn't changed by this evening I'll probably call order it as they suggested.
