Had Apple sent me some kind of survey, I would have told them why I still have my 2016 iPhone SE and why I did not get the 12 or 13 mini. Flat back, flat edges, TouchID, and no stupid side button directly across from the landscape shutter (volume up) button. Stupidest design since iPhone 6. I told this to the Apple store person when I threw my iPhone 6 at them, told them to shove it (politely), and paid CASH in hand for my 2016 iPhone SE then. Face ID is stupid, too. Too easy to be used against you and requires no action to be taken by you. Foolishness.

I still won't get this new iPhone 15, either. So we're at 7, going on 8, years with zero hardware revenue from me. Apple Watch series 3, too, because I can't do anything newer (that's actually with that trade; S3-S5 are all the same anyway) on my SE. No AirPods now (first ones died, lost my second pair, not gonna buy more).

I guess I'll die with my SE 2016, now. Never thought I'd get to this point.

I love my 13 mini. I think the pandemic doomed the mini, because people couldn't really touch them due to stores being closed, and from pictures probably thought it was too small. But if you pick it up and hold it, for many people it just fits so well in the hand. Easy to use one-handed (reach across the screen with your thumb or up to the top) and so light weight. My biggest issue is the 13 mini overheats really quickly, especially in the sun -- so I'm just aware of that now.

iPhone 13 mini is actually a really great phone, once you buy it, you will not miss the 7/8/SE Design.

it's hilarious to me that the icon for iPhone 13 still includes the mini..

Sorry, but Apple ain't going to bring back a dead form factor that has proven to be unpopular, unless their goal is to minimize sales of iPhone SE4.
It did not sell well because of the price, not the form factor itself. A iPhone Mini at £429 is a completely different proposition altogether.

I upgraded to a 13 mini last year and I think it might be my last iPhone. Between only making large phones and stripping out physical SIM cards, they lost me as a customer. The SE is rumored to be a bigger phone next iteration so that is a loss for me, too. I don't want to deal with Google and anything Android I've tried, I hated.

I had to pull out a swelled battery of an old 5, I may just keep that and put in a new battery when it's time, and shut off Wi-Fi and switch to a plain phone/text plan on T-Mobile since it at least has LTE. That is worst case assuming I can't just swap out the 13 mini battery in 5 years. I do have my other a phone, a Nokia 225 that works but stupidly you can buy the phone, however they don't sell replacement batteries which you can easily swap.

It looks like Canada still has physical SIMs in the 15 and 15 Pro which again makes no sense. Why we can't buy these in the US?

Should have bought one today. They haven't disappeared from Apple Stores, but they're $100 less now.

You telling me Apple Stores may have inventory left? I would have assumed they shipped all that back.

Apple keeps track of how many active mini’s are in their userbase, and if that userbase is still around in a couple of years, they will know that we are ready for a new mini and hopefully launch one. Until then, I will cling on to my 13 mini. Best iPhone I ever had.
