You telling me Apple Stores may have inventory left? I would have assumed they shipped all that back.
Yes. They will start shipping them back later this week. Apple Stores don't have advance info, so they don't start shipping them back early.

With the launch of the new iPhone 15 models, Apple has discontinued the iPhone 13 mini, the last remaining flagship iPhone under six inches. Apple only made two 5.4-inch iPhone minis, the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 13 mini.

The iPhone 12 mini was discontinued with the launch of the iPhone 14, leaving the iPhone 13 mini as the only smaller flagship option. The iPhone SE is still available to those who want something smaller than 6.1 inches, but it does not have modern features like Face ID.
Apple is continuing to sell the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 14 as lower-cost options that are offered as an alternative to the iPhone 15. The iPhone 12 has also been discontinued and replaced with the iPhone 13, which has dropped in price. Apple's full device lineup is as follows:
While the iPhone 13 mini and the iPhone 12 have been discontinued by Apple, they may still be available from the refurbished store while supplies last, and third-party retailers will also have some stock available until it sells out.
- iPhone SE - $429
- iPhone 13 - $599
- iPhone 14 - $699
- iPhone 15 - $799
- iPhone 15 Plus - $899
- iPhone 15 Pro - $999
- iPhone 15 Pro Max - $1199

RIP iPhone Mini. You will be missed.
Apple should have killed off the SE and replaced it with the 13 mini at a $449 to $499 price point.
Really breaks my heart! Honestly!!

Missed by the industry yes, but not us the end users that still love and use them!RIP iPhone Mini. You will be missed.
Be fast as they’ll immediately raise prices and run out of stock FAST!Sad times. I'm probably going to get me a 13 Mini from a third party reseller in a year or so.
I agree the SE should’ve been killed or remade into the iPhone 13 mini’s image but with 1 camera to keep costs down but keep FaceID to unify the iOS experience. Apple went back to R&D earlier this year after reports of the SE4 being similar to the iPhone 11/14 in size and battery capacity of the former but that was scrapped.Apple should have killed off the SE and replaced it with the 13 mini at a $449 to $499 price point.
If they did proper marketing for it, it would sell better. You had to dig for that phone on the website when it launched. They cater to what sells, if the mini sold well, they wouldn't be ending it.
Exactly. I'm not sure Mini would be big enough either, but why keep three generations of basically the same device but get rid of one with no other generations the same size?YE
YES THISExactly. I'm not sure Mini would be big enough either, but why keep three generations of basically the same device but get rid of one with no other generations the same size?
Likewise!Very disappointing. They also kept absolutely horrendous SE which is barely cheaper than discounted mini would’ve been. Will hold on to my 13 mini until it turns to dust!
Just picked up a pink 13 mini for Mom three hours ago. It should get support/major firmware updates from Apple for at least the next four years.Bought my 13 Mini two days ago, in anticipation that it may no longer be offered after the announcement today! Glad I grabbed one while I could!
I went to a nearby Apple Store that still has all capacities in stock when I picked up my Mom’s new pink iPhone 13 mini this afternoon. For those still looking for a new one, the cell service providers may still have left over stock.
Selections will be limited though.
(I had a 13 mini in my shopping bag on the Apple Store app and it was saying 6 to 8 weeks to deliver as of yesterday)
Makes perfect sense, but unfortunately, all that matters to Apple is all their bottom line.Wouldn’t it have made sense actually to keep the mini and kill the 13?
The 14 could stand in as the bigger screen device?

You politely threw your iPhone at them?Had Apple sent me some kind of survey, I would have told them why I still have my 2016 iPhone SE and why I did not get the 12 or 13 mini. Flat back, flat edges, TouchID, and no stupid side button directly across from the landscape shutter (volume up) button. Stupidest design since iPhone 6. I told this to the Apple store person when I threw my iPhone 6 at them, told them to shove it (politely), and paid CASH in hand for my 2016 iPhone SE then. Face ID is stupid, too. Too easy to be used against you and requires no action to be taken by you. Foolishness.
I still won't get this new iPhone 15, either. So we're at 7, going on 8, years with zero hardware revenue from me. Apple Watch series 3, too, because I can't do anything newer (that's actually with that trade; S3-S5 are all the same anyway) on my SE. No AirPods now (first ones died, lost my second pair, not gonna buy more).
I guess I'll die with my SE 2016, now. Never thought I'd get to this point.
