Android users on Android Forum talking about why celebrity stars use iPhone

Can you say Android smartphones are in premium segment? Samsung? it's not even near Apple in that segment.
Why is it so hard for you'll to believe it's for the Rich people as it falls in premium segment. If you see lot of iPhones in your country then be happy that your country is very rich. There are countries where Apple market share is losing because of the price and Chinese smartphones are gaining those share because of the price.

And that's exactly what I had said at first. It's good for the Apple when they increase their profit margin regardless of what sales they do because the premium segment of the people who are "rich" will be buying the best and Apple does deliver. So they are already no.1 in that segment, it's a win win situation for the company as they earn, it's a win win situation for the consumer as they get the top notch smartphone overall and the exclusivity. This offends you'll? lol
I would disagree with that but other than that, i dont care why celebrities use iPhones. I never noticed to be honest. It doesnt affect me in any way, shape or form what they use. Just a petty observation really. What Rich people do is no concern of mine. Im not offended, i just dont care.

You may want to check what exclusivity means old.boy.. in the usa, it's got 60% plus coverage, so 18 out of every 30 kids in skool has an iPhone, and you somehow think its a niche luxury product for the super rich.. the usa is not a rich country, they are in debt to over a trillion dollars... but if your insecurities are solved by bragging about a mobile phone that can be bought for 10s of pounds a month, good luck with that dude..

That’s some attitude you have there. You won’t download an app communicate with someone, but you expect them to go out and buy something to communicate with you? Sums up this thread.
I mean that’s just it isn’t it. If you want to communicate with someone you will download the necessary app. I have an iPhone but the majority of my contacts have android phones and use what’sApp so I use what’sapp.

I am very much on Earth and I haven't called you all poor people because you guys use Android. Now don't take it personally cause you have missed out on the fact that Rich people use iPhones. I showed you the links, go read them and understand.

I meant Android is hardly used by Rich people and if you find a link where you can show Android is used more by Rich people which means premium segment than paste it.

There's no need to get personal or judge someone or get offended lol. A fact is a fact!

It’s not a win for the consumer as it just encourages Apple to become complacent.

Exclusivity is definitely not something that I get from using an iPhone. They are so common here you wouldn’t even get to the end of the street without seeing several.

My brother lives in Spain, rest of family lives in Chicago. Family has a mix of iPhone's and Android phones. My brother has a Android phone, our Mom and iPhone. For her to video chat with her son and granddaughter, she had no choice but to install Google Duo.

You know what ? Works like a charm. Perfect.

Everyone I know has iPhones or iPads. Everyone.
They all use iMessage and FaceTime. Last time I saw anyone with an android, was a business associate, he had a blackberry, hence the Skype and signal use. He switched to an iPhone two weeks later. And now swears by it.

No one I know uses android anymore.

I do business and have family in;
The US,UK,Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Dubai, Russia, Lebanon, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Kazakhstan and much more.
All iPhones.

That's exactly what I said before. Let Chinese Android Smartphone enter US and you will see the change that has happened in Asia and the same change happening in Europe. It's impossible for Apple to capture the highest Market Share when people have the choice to buy cheaper smartphones. Also the change will take time because Americans are more rich than many developed countries, forget developing countries. Also, Apple is smart enough. You think they came up with iPhone XR for the market share? no not at all, it's not a cheap smartphone. iPhone XR is an expensive smartphone but cheaper than iPhone XS. It's more like giving a choice of something at a little less price but still expensive compared to the overall market.

Hence, Apple is on the track to just increase the price every time without caring of the overall market share and focusing on cutting edge technology and the premium segment. And guess what? they don't have competition in that segment and that's not Apple's fault. Apple has more money to invest in research and development than any other tech company right now. You won't believe me that's why I'm sharing the link.

You guys should read before judging someone.

I'm done with this thread.

Bottom line, Apple, Google, and Samsung all make great smartphones. I prefer stock Android myself.

But it's just "different strokes, for different folks".

Everyone's done with this thread. The guy who started this thread "Gapprofitt" must be laughing at us lol :D

---

But guys I don't take all this seriously. I like when someone has an strong opinion and I respect that. I don't judge them. It's a good thing when there is something to discuss, you learn a lot and move forward.

Now, I'm done with this thread lol. As TIG said, "different strokes, for different folks"

I don’t expect anything, they can do whatever they want.
Not a difficult concept to grasp.

To each their own but that is stupid, and kinda snobbish. Who the hec are you that someone needs to get a Apple device to seek you out? LOL

In your opinion.
But they can still place calls, can’t they?

You guys don’t realize this, but I’m far from the only one.

I really like iOS 12 on my iPhone Xs Max with G board not the default keyboard. Makes it similar to my Samsung Swype keyboard. I think with group notification, it really feels it is less antiquated and actually useful.

I also really like the flat screen. I was not a fan of the curved screen on my note 8.

I think what iOS excels is the Apple watch 4 which I'm getting. The Android watch us definitely trials behind the Apple watch.

Last comment, but I will say, it's an extreme snobby and poor attitude to have, if you want to video chat a family member, but they may be on Android, and you on iPhone, and you would refuse to use the universal go between being the free Google Duo app, that's available on both platforms, that allows video chatting.

Like why would anyone cop that kind of attitude ?

Only in the U.S. does iMessage stay relevant. In Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America, Whatsapp is the #1 text app. Even iPhone users on those countries mostly use WhatsApp on their phones.

Whatever, some people just don't get it, and like to live in a bubble not the real world. LOL

You seem to be taking it personally based on your phone of choice.

If you think imessage and FaceTime is only popular in the us, perhaps it is you that is living in a bubble?

No one is downloading duo, it’s like the google+ of messaging apps.

FaceTime and FaceTime audio are great products, maybe you should try it, then again maybe not.

Enjoy whatever device your using.

The concept being that you’re arrogant in the way you come across? I grasped that one perfectly fine.

So what?

Is that all that can be said, arrogance for refusing to download another program.

If iMessage and FaceTime doesn’t matter, why are you guys getting so upset?

I’m not getting upset, I’ll use whatever. I just find your arrogance amusing. Even more so that you try and spin it like it’s not you, it’s other people. “Go an buy an iDevice if you want the pleasure of talking to me”

As opposed to download an app, that no one else uses?An app used solely to communicate with one person.

I think it’s arrogant for a person to expect their entire family and friends to download and use and app when it would be easier for said person just to get an iPhone and communicate with everyone else.
Guess I’m fortunate enough that no one I know uses an android device any more.

And if they did phone calling would suffice, wouldn’t it?

Or do I have to use google 4th attempt at a messaging app to be considered less arrogant?

Agreed. Always facebook too. That is what I used instead of Facetime when I had my Note 9.

Quality of the video was crappier. Otherwise it seemed to work okay.

That’s what I suspected.
I think apple is guilty of using hardware acceleration for FaceTime, it’s the best I have used and is seamless with the iPhone.

I am thinking of moving to Android because of Apple's stance on AdGuard and all ad blockers :( Unless something changes.

It really sucks.

Huh? I use Adblocker VPN. Don’t see any ads in apps, games or the web. It’s available in the App Store.

Works basically the same way it does in Android.
