Well considering I have a new iPhone on the way now since I’m 2 and half hours from the closest Apple store. This will be my 4 iPhone X. Since the others either had dust under the lens or had issues. “Imagine that” but anyway waiting a new one since this pos won’t make any calls now.

Have you considered an Android?

I wonder how and why some people have such a bad experience yet others with the same device and OS have such a good experience? My iPhone X has been excellent since I bought it and iOS 11 is great. It would be an interesting study to find out why it’s so bad for you.

I think some (Not saying the OP) look for problems and lose focus on the good things about iOS. The majority who use iOS everyday are likely content with its performance and don’t spend endless time complaining about it as others do on here. Tech forums are a very vocal minority.

I don’t disagree with you, Apple have lost the plot in recent years - but I have to ask, why exactly is the whole iOS 11 trash? Aside from a few niggles, it works just as well for me as it always has done.
Did you watch my video up top. My phone freezes up all the Time. In that video it shows me trying to get it to go home and it wouldn’t do nothen. Can’t receive calls. Just a bunch of issues. iOS 10 was a lot better for me. I’ve seen a lot on here there’s a lot of people that has no issues with 11 and there’s a lot that does. So I guess I was just one of the unlucky ones. Either that or most that have the issues just says they don’t I don’t really know.

That of course is a matter of opinion. But here is a nice comparison for those interested :)

Pretty sad that a phone from 5 years ago has a bigger battery lmao.

Yeah I came from an android. Will probably be going back. Hopefully the note 9 has in display finger print sensor.

Yeah I mean trust I want it to work. I really do. I’m not the type of guy that wants to go out and drop over $1000 on a phone and hope it doesn’t work. That’s not me. I want it to work and not freeze up all the time.

Apple has really lost there touch. Saw where they weren’t gonna give use any new features in iOS 12 because they want to fix bugs. That BS. I gave a $1000 for a phone to a company that can’t even make a stable software. They have been doing iOS for 10 years now you would think they would be able make a software that’s doesn’t have so many damn bugs. And still be able to give use features. Kinda wish I would’ve bought an lg to be honest.

I agree, you should have bought an LG. Thanks for sharing.

hint: all software has bugs.

Bugs and issues started happening when they handed iOS over to Ive.

Bull. There has been "bugs and issues" since the beginning of software and most certainly with every iteration of iOS.

I've been using iPhones since the very first one and this nonsense that their was magical days with no issues is a total and complete myth.

You misunderstand my statement.

I am not saying that there were never any bugs before iOS 7. In fact, I can think of a bug in iOS 6 that appeared the very first time I booted my iPhone 5.

But more serious bugs, bugs that caused Apple to retract updates and or have serious release issues. Those started ocurring more once Ive was put in charge of iOS.

If you disagree with that fine, but again, I am not arguing that there were no bugs at all pre-iOS 7.

Haven’t watched your video but those don’t sound like typical issues that a reasonably new iOS device would experience. I’d be getting Apple (or whoever you bought from) involved.

For me personally, iOS functions just fine - in fact, it functions better than any other mobile operating system I’ve tried. Where my frustrations with Apple lie is the general neglect that makes iOS feel tired to me. I’m not going to preach away pretending that I have the solutions and ideas - and many will argue that since it functions well, it isn’t broken and doesn’t need fixing. But, it fundamentally still looks, feels and behaves the way it did in 2013. Even down to small details - for example, the stock alert tones and ringtones are still the same as they were five years ago. The settings screen is cluttered, unintuitive and dated - there has to be a more functional way of getting the phone to do what you want. There’s no real options for the user when it comes to configuring the space on the home screens. I’m not for a moment advocating switching to an android style level of customisation but basic design changes like an ability to tweak colour schemes would be welcome.

iOS just lacks the pop and sparkle that once made it a joy to use. It’s been a long time since I’ve ever found anything new to iOS to be innovative - if anything, new features always seem like they’ve just been tacked on to what’s already there.

95% = envy/expensive/hater

5% = defective hardware but too lazy to go to an Apple Store to address it.
Hey BJ.

Don't come to Singapore with the expectation your X will stand out from the crowd & place you on a mountain to be worshipped by the populous - there are tonnes of X's in the wild here, owned by a myriad of classes. :D

Lol people keep talking about all these “bugs” yet I’ve encountered virtually zero. Even if this is the buggiest version of iOS, it’s still less buggy than even the most stable release of Android.

Besides, it’s not like Apple is going to literally release zero new features w/iOS 12. How about we be adults and wait until it’s announced before we throw ourselves a pity party?

Be happy that you didn't had to spend hours and hours with Apple Support week after week, and clean the device and reinstalling system a few times around. Sending in sys-diagnostic reports over and over again.
Be glad that you are one of those that are NOT having trouble with iOS11.

It's REAL, not some damn imagination.

I've had Apple since early 90th's, and never had any trouble like this ever before, ever!

The engineers are in the dark totally when it comes to certain bugs. They admit it!

Glad to hear that Android is buggier though, never had it, and doubt that I ever will.
I still love  :)

As Sdwaltz mentioned, I have not encountered at least a third of the issues others have noted with iOS. I’m not saying those issues don’t exist with iOS, it’s just either I’m not plagued by being annoyed by them or I simply don’t look for the most minor inconsistencies with iOS. But then again, it’s a reminder that when you have those two are very tech oriented, they tend to be more sensitive and prone to finding imperfections with software.

I personally have not had any issues with my iPhone since the 5s that are critical issues. The biggest things I can remember in the last few years are interface glitches and Resprings. For me I haven’t had a respring in ages. Interface glitches are aplenty though.

The phones in my family are 5s, 6s, 7, 6s+ and X. 11.3 is what 11.0 should have been, but this is always the case, and easily one of the best minor updates ever.

It's been replaced by face.
I see what you did there.

Yeah right after you give me $1000 back I’ll get right on that. Or you know if you can talk your beloved Apple for it back.
[doublepost=1522530123][/doublepost]
Just cause you don’t have issues doesn’t mean some of us others don’t. I guess your phone doesn’t force close all the time.

You can sell your iPhone X for damn near what you paid. Go for it and be happy with your life.

I see what you did there. You are wrong. But I see what you did there.

Apple has lost their “Steve”

I love these. I know this is a joke but, Steve would have fought bigger screens to the bitter end. And Apple Pencil? Idk, I’m not sure we can say for certain that Apple would be better overall today with him at the helm.

Yeah but I doubt the notch would exist or the lightning port underneath the Magic Mouse would exist or prossibly the dongle “culture” would exist.

I feel like the AirPods is the most “Steve jobs” like device Apple has put out since Steve left in terms of design, “just works” user experience and minimalism. No major, quirky features or functionality.

Why Steve Jobs would have fought a bigger screen when he himself when announced the first iPhone said the screen was huge and was proud to introduce the biggest display available on a phone so small? When it comes to Apple Pencil, Steve Jobs was also proud to introduce multi touch since the only touch devices available worked only with a pen, Apple pencil is not a substitute to your fingers, only an add to draw on the iPad.

I can’t get $1000 for it. There not bringing that much around me anyway. And imo he’s right Apple did lose there Steve. Probably should’ve closed shop that same day.

I bet the iPhone would still have a headphone jack if Steve was alive.

The same Steve Jobs that got rid of the DVD drive years early? And the FireWire years early? I doubt it, but okay?
