Yeah but I doubt the notch would exist or the lightning port underneath the Magic Mouse would exist or prossibly the dongle “culture” would exist.

I feel like the AirPods is the most “Steve jobs” like device Apple has put out since Steve left in terms of design, “just works” user experience and minimalism. No major, quirky features or functionality.

I think you’re right with everything except the notch.

Why Steve Jobs would have fought a bigger screen when he himself when announced the first iPhone said the screen was huge and was proud to introduce the biggest display available on a phone so small? When it comes to Apple Pencil, Steve Jobs was also proud to introduce multi touch since the only touch devices available worked only with a pen, Apple pencil is not a substitute to your fingers, only an add to draw on the iPad.

This is not opinion they are things he spoke out against. Obviously anybody could change their mind, just saying he would have been against it initially and who knows where the company would be now. May not all have been positive.

The same Steve Jobs that got rid of the DVD drive years early? And the FireWire years early? I doubt it, but okay?

Have to agree here. With Steve at the helm the headphone jack would have been gone a year earlier. This was straight out of his playbook.

People need to stop going on about steve jobs. He's not here anymore get over it. He was great but he was hardly flawless with his decisions.
That’s all the arguments they got. I bet most of these who use Steve Jobs arguments didnt’t even know Apple existed back then, much less knowing what he did/would do.

I hate iOS 11 and my subura

Tim Cook released ****** iOS version Steve job wouldn’t do this
Steve Jobs would release the same crappy OS like iOS 6 and then say you were using it wrong if you found any bug.

My mom is an avid android fan and she also sends me movie codes for digital copies all of the time. She used Samsung for years. She recently switched to an LG. Guess who now has blurry photos that can’t focus on the codes she sends me? LG isn’t exactly what I would call comparable to iPhone on many fronts. Some people have had issues. I have not had any issues out of my iPhone X. My iPad is being a bit difficult since the 11.3 update but I expect that another update will happen soon & resolve this issue. Did you try a factory reset? Sometimes software just doesn’t install the way it should. I didn’t read all of the comments on this thread so I apologize if you’ve already been asked this.

After almost 6 years with having various devices on iOS 6 (and some on newer firmwares too) There was something special about it that I love. The design was clean and, it always made me smile. The only downside I find is closing apps became much more efficent in iOS 7 with the swipe to close instead of clicking X to close.

Just like Apple, LG has its own issues. With my LG V10, it has a processor that will actually fry the motherboard under little stress (just like the LG G4). I've been fortunate that mine has not bootlooped yet however, it overheats quickly and I frequently have to shut it off. When I was on vacation in Florida last year during Spring break, I got the overheating notification while it was idle in my pocket!

Does this problem make me hate my phone? No I love it because that second screen always on display makes life so much easier and even with a front fractured camera housing (that I have not gotten around to repairing yet), it still takes beautiful pictures.

Overall, at the end of the day, every phone has its flaws. Thats why I love both iOS and Android both are unique in their own special way.

There are things I do like about Android. Camera quality is super important to me. So I don’t much care for LG. I had Samsung phones before. I just found that the Android OS was easily slowed down. I prefer iOS for many reasons. And yes, every phone has their issues. I was simply pointing out that LG has their own issues. I’m glad that you haven’t experienced the dreaded boot loop. I hope you continue to enjoy & love your phone.

Thanks for the luck and great observation regarding Android feeling bogged down. I' noticed that with every android I've played around with (especially the older ones on newer software versions) One way I've noticed you can speed up the device in those cases is by terminating/disabling apps running in the background through battery management apps like Greenify. This process reminds me a lot of how in iOS you can perform optimizations to speed up the device like disabling background refresh (there's probally more now but I have not played around with a modern iOS device in a few years)

I'm going to be in the market for a new phone and a new device to replace my 7 year old iPod Touch. I miss playing around with modern apple devices a lot (I used to have a 7.1.2 iPad Air on lease through my school however, they would not let me buy it outright)

I feel like Apple lost their prowess with software. iOS 11 started off so unpolished. The fact the iPhone 8 and 8+ exists complicates software development further because both are tied into the home button and traditional iPhone experience. The iPhone X is gesture driven and offers a newer form factor.

Apple hasn't even offered true multitasking on their phones. Great, the iPad can do PIP and split screen apps, but what about a large screen iPhone?

If Apple offered those two features, I wouldn't even consider an Android device to own. I rather see OEMs make more affordable products since the smartphone market is so mature right now.

Yeah ik that’s something else they fu**ed up. Touch ID was way better then Face ID.
Many folks prefer TouchID and many prefer FaceID. There are many arguments to support either. Apple has adopted FacedID. All phones in 2018 (not counting SE2) will no longer have TouchID. You can either accept the future or live in the past.

You want both options? Go Galaxy, LG, or OnePlus. TouchID feels older to me because it feels slower. Samsung's is much faster. FaceID is solid, but the swipe motion slows down the process.
