This is completely BS

They wait until midnight the night before to tell me it isn’t available. This was preordered and supposed to be ready for pickup

Thats lousy news. My pickup still shows the same 2PM time, but I did get the logistical delay email.

Definitely a first world and understandable problem with all that apple has going on today, but it is quite annoying to plan your day around something and then have it "cancelled" basically a few minutes before.

I called Apple about mine. They say they don’t see any issues with my order and told me it’s a glitch. We shall see. I camped out anyway to try and snag one. I’ll know in a few more hours the truth I suppose.

Apple Support Chat rep said its still looking like it'll be for pickup today, just not at my original time. That would be comforting if not for that fact that I have a pickup time of 5:30-6 pm, so theres not a whole lot of time later than that for me to pick up.

had my pre-order ready at the Apple Store. Had two reserved: SG and gold Max. Walked in at 8:25a. Took a look at both and compared them. Saw the fingerprints all over the SG so I went with gold. Out of the store 3 mins later. Barely a line.

Lining up at the Apple store, and a staff checked my order and indeed my phone has not arrive, and they have no more for sale. However, they do have the sim-free version available. So I’m just picking that up instead.

Kudos to Apple Bethesda Row! What a flawless in-store pickup transaction.

I originally purchased both the Xs Max 256 Silver and the S4 40mm SG Aluminum outright, but I was also due an upgrade for both my phone and watch through AT&T. Apple allowed me to change my payment method at checkout so I could:

1. Buy the phone with AT&T Next 24-month installment plan while only paying sales tax; and
2. Trade in my S3 38mm watch for the full $225 and apply it to my S4 watch purchase

All this took 30 minutes tops. I ended up saving almost $1700 USD (immediately out of pocket) just because of Apple customer service!

This is why I don't pre-order with any outside vendors, especially AT&T. I got everything I wanted today and now I am at home setting up my brand new devices for a fraction of the cost. I hope everyone's sales experiences today are even half as good as mine.

Exactly... and both my phone and watch has no ETA. Both must of been on the same plane... good o’l UPS.

No issues picking up at the Austin Domain Apple store this morning, no major lines.

My 8:30 appointment, I stood in line at 8am, and once the 8-8:30am group finished then I was let in at approx 8:25am

Update .......after chatting with Apple they called my store since my appointment is now basically and they said my phone is there ??? but I didn't get a new email ..this is strange

I was also just informed that it's possibly a glitch of some sort and that I should be getting it today just not in my specific time frame which is why she told me to wait for the email. I explained I live 2 hours away from the store I was lucky to find for pickup... and to my avail I was comped a pair of BeatsX Earphones for free! The rep was so kind and was trying to do anything to help me out and she did more than that... Now I can't complain lol..
