There still seem to be significant bezels. I'm confused now as to the motivation of increasing the size marginally. Perhaps it is simply because they want to make the 10.5" the "iPad Pro Mini" - matching the PPI of the iPad mini but with the iPad Pro's resolution.
I don't think that is the reasoning. Although not exactly the same size as a mini screen, you can get the same effect with the current 9.7 iPad... just slightly smaller, but the same UI layout.Apparently it is so you can have two full size iPad mini interfaces side by side for split screen.

iOS apps displayed on screens smaller than 9.7 end up with the "mobile" UI version. That is one of the nice features of the 12.9 Pro... you get 2 full UI iOS apps side by side.
It is says that the picture of a 10.5 Pro with this wallpaper would be the packing box picture of 10.5 ProHow do wallpapers confirm it will be announced at WWDC? if they do introduce this new 10.5" iPad Pro at WWDC I also wonder f they will also update the 12.9" version as well even if it's just with new internals. I get that that the wallpapers are for the 12.9" iPad Pro and that's why I don't get people saying that it confirms the 10.5" version being announced at WWDC.
I'm guessing either dual camera, or camera and flash?
10.5 Pro is with a 1000mAh+ bigger battery,compared to the 9.7 Pro
This is indeed hugely puzzling, there are people with muscle memory to the 9.7" form factor, and there is a sea of 3rd party accessories designed for that as well since the original iPad. Perhaps we need to see the final specs of the panel resolution / footprint to fairly judge the reasons to the change. But for me personally, if it isn't a bazel-less OLED then why even bother.I am not so happy Apple decided to introduce the 10.5" iPad Size I thought the 9.7" size was just the right size between the iPhone Plus and a 12.9" iPad why now introduce a bigger size iPad which is going to be slight taller and thicker and more in width than the 9.7" iPad I don't know for potential buyers like me who are contemplating an idea to upgrade their iPad it is not good news that the 10.5" iPad is being introduced the 9.7" iPad Pro was just about perfect.

Man, the point is that the footprint stays practically the same. No change in your bag, just more estate to work on.
I know that it is popular to clamor for an OLED display but most don't realize that there will be a price to pay for it. A direct cost simply because of manufacturing and an indirect cost in wildly fluctuating battery life. This is indeed hugely puzzling, there are people with muscle memory to the 9.7" form factor, and there is a sea of 3rd party accessories designed for that as well since the original iPad. And that is a great thing in my opinion and is the selling point. Why they would announce at WWDC tho I don't know.
But I mean c'mon 10.5" size is huge ? where is the portability gone with that. 9.7" Size was just the right form factor with not being too small and at the same time not being too big. For people who want bigger size the 12.9" is always there. But 10.5" does not make sense !
Because they wanted to in March but delays pushed it out.
Well, you are going to have to decide, won't you?
I know you want a future-proof iPad above as else. (Whatever that means.)
I know your type. And I have a good memory.![]()
