We’ve reported it, and nothing gets done.

i've run every beta since the public beta program began (back in the 1940s). apple will get it fixed... when they get it fixed. yes, it sucks, but, sigh... this is how betas work. it's never a straight line forward, and something is always broken for someone... at any given moment (come to think of it, happens in final OS releases too).

am not happy about it, but not stunned. will get on with it, and wait for the next beta (and hopefully, a fix).

still... ugh.

The feedback assistant says "potential fix identified -- in macOS 12". So that's progress.

hope that means it reaches the beta testers soon.

funny, tho, how i've adapted to checking my email 8 times a day, instead of diving in every time there's new email. it's too calm/sane! need things working again...

Forgot I had Mail open on my M1 Air yesterday, did notice an unusable battery drain though after awhile, so checked what was causing it, and that was Mail doing I don't know what. Battery usage back to normal as soon as I quit Mail. There's something fishy going on with that app lol.

this is fun; today, none of the graphics for any email loads; i have to view the content in safari (am about to reboot; hopefully that fixes it).

the graphics thing; how does this relate to the issue? wish we could find the common denominator for those of us having this problem, or find a workaround. otherwise, will patiently 🤪 wait for apple to fix...

EDIT: reboot did not fix this; no remote images are loading today.

I was pretty saddened to install PB4 and Mail still does not work. Oh well. There is always PB5...

Have you eliminated private relay as a suspect? My work email won’t work with private relay on, unless I am on some networks. It’s a bit odd, but also they block using apps like Mail, Outlook, etc for Hipaa reasons.

i don't have private relay set up, so nothing to disable. and i tried another mail app, but it would not let me setup my accounts as POP accounts (which i prefer); any free POP-capable apps out there?

but am ok to wait it out (for now...)

Developer 4 here, same problem, but it seems to be ok some times if I force close and reopen and leave it for a minute or two.

Same issue, no graphics for emails loading. This beta is definitely not fixing this issue!

does this happen for anyone? i just went to import an mbox into apple mail, and no matter what setting i choose ('apple mail', or 'files in mbox format') i get this... ugh. anyone know another way to open an mbox file?

I was about to smugly reply "not for me". But fortunately I checked. I get exactly the same error as you. It never gives you a chance to specify the mbox file (or location of Apple Mail format messages). Now opening up Feedback Assistant...

yeah, sigh, i did feedback assist as well.

i just needed some info from an old archived email. so i opened the mbox in textedit, did a word search, found what i needed, and all is well.

but wondering if this is an issue others are experiencing, not just those of us with the' incoming email' issue; ie are these 2 issues related? (seems unlikely)... 🤔
