I was having it on all my email accounts (3).
might be a good time to buy a lottery ticket. ;) anyway, hope all sorts it out for the rest of us in the next beta.

i have a site open all the time, that has some 'live content' that refreshes automatically; it's not been working well since last beta; wondering if it's related...

Opening Photo Browser from Window Menu, doesn't crash here anymore on b5.

Importing data still has the same error though:
'You need to select at least one item in the list before proceeding.'
Unable to help em any way with this, because no data is piped out to the sys log, no crash or error report info anywhere.

this is the beta we're discussing; seems to have fixed the incoming mail issue, but (for most of us, anyway), not the 'load content directly' issue. that works ok for you?
eh eh, This wasn't noticed here on b4, but now in b5, opening Mail.app it takes about 5-10 minutes to load and display emails that'd previously been received 6 hours prior. Each successive time Mail.app is closed, then opened, it goes through this process again.
Two different IMAP server accounts BTW.
No cause4concern, can leave mail running and sleep the machine when no in use.

not experiencing that, but you can still file a feedback report, and describe what's happening (and apple can comb thru the default attached reports)...

EDIT: interesting, tho, that i STILL cannot import an mbox, and i get that exact same error message...

just realized today, that when my vpn is running, remote content does load in mail automatically; just not sure what that means. anyone have thoughts? or can test this out as well?

I don’t know if this makes any difference or not, but if I run OWA (exchange server on web) on my macbook it won’t work with my VPN on…but oddly if I am connected through some public networks (the ones where you get a captive prompt) it will not work without it.

My employer blocks using Mail/outlook type apps on the computer.

so you have the same issue on all network types?

am only using my macbook at home right now, but was suprised to find content loading normally when i turned on the vpn. trying to understand what that means (but hopefully, next beta fixes this).

just surprised by it...

EDIT: works consistently. wish i could determine what it means, as... maybe there's a workaround for now (or, at least, would be interesting to know what's happening)...

EDIT: and (here also), still cannot import mboxes, getting that error. yikes

You don't get something like this?

i do, but i discovered (to my surprise) that, when i'm running my VPN, content does load directly. i find this surprising (and am curious of an explanation)... while i hold my breath for apple to fix it (i've now reported it 3 times in feedback assistant)
I thought that was a feature, not a bug, with the "Email privacy" features.

are you taking about the 'block all remote content' option in apple mail? i keep that unchecked. and just tested checking it, quitting mail, reopening, then unchecking it, reopening mail. the problem persists...

FWIW: checking 'hide IP address", quitting mail, re-opening it, then unchecking 'hide IP address' seems to have fixed this! so, mail is back in business here (altho importing mboxes still gives an error....)....
