None that I can see…although, it’s the next morning now. Sometimes things kick in once the servers are updated.
EDIT: Did my morning check of NYC to see if it was updated and decided to check out L.A. again…just love the night mode for the enhanced POI’s.

I think Apple has converted orange from meaning construction to meaning moderate congestion. I’ve encountered Orange a bunch of times over the last week and it’s always been that and not construction.

EDIT: Actually, I think his are still “yellow”, just the way the color is showing…looks more “yellow” in my pics. It’s a screen color thing, not an actual difference in color for traffic I think.
I wish there was a scenic route option, or as said earlier, a way to add waypoints.Interesting ?
I just tried with highways and without. Neither have me a US1 option.

Nah, I was referencing the exclamation mark and construction icon at the interchange, as well as the audible warning of a lane closure ahead that didn't exist. lol
Perhaps it had just wrapped up.
Yeah, I’ve been to NYC 3x this week and no “ultra-nice looking” landmarks. But those LA ones are cool!
My new morning routine....hard restart of phone to kick start any server side updates...go to The Statue of Liberty and look for green...hah
Here’s a change…on iOS 14.7.1 anyway. When choosing from different routes, the toll routes have always been represented by an orange-ish dollar sign ($). Now that $ circle is green.
Just completed a round trip to Mohegan Sun in my new car. Apple Maps was fine. Still losing map label bubbles from time to time, as expected. Traffic info and ETA was spot-on. Coming home, while already en-route, Apple Maps warned me of an accident further down the line, and the building traffic nightmare it was creating. It offered me a new route on a different highway to save 12 minutes overall. Worked out great.
CarPlay appears and responds much faster and smoother in my new car, so the car’s head unit definitely plays into how CarPlay performs. Can’t wait to see iOS 15 on this massive 14.5 inch head unit. The dashboard screen looks amazing on the widescreen format. The map itself is almost as big as some head units! Plenty of room to play with.
Really wish there was a fix for trying to get a route loaded in an area with poor cell service. After having breakfast at a little spot with very poor cell phone service (food service was fine), I connected to a nearby free wi-fi hotspot, and loaded Apple Maps just to cache the area. I should’ve activated a route at that point, but I didn’t. Once in the car (and severed from the wi-if), I activated CarPlay. The map for the area was still there. But it couldn’t find a route for me to get to my next destination. I drove along the road I knew I needed to take until the cell signal improved, and then I was able to try and get directions again.

Used my 12 Promax (beta 6) Maps for a run to my daughters house (Ventura to Bellflower).
It did a great job except during the middle 40 minutes of the trip, it had no sound.
The suddenly it was back.

Is there a way to make "banners" appear on the CarPlay screen when the music you're listening to within CarPlay changes to a different track?
I'm having a technical issue with regards to how my new car handles my music, as I no longer have a "jukebox" with which to copy my music onto. So I put my music onto my iPhone instead (via iTunes), and I'm trying to listen to it on CarPlay through the music app. But since I drive with my map on fullscreen, I'd like to know the name of the song when it starts playing.

I use my phone to show Apple Music while I’m driving. The only thing that sucks is that if a song comes up that doesn’t have lyrics, the phone will auto lock if you have it set to turn off (I think most everyone does).
When I'm in the car using CarPlay, my phone is plugged into the appropriate USB port in my front console, and my phone is still inside its shell case with the screen off. It's sort of like a little storage spot for the phone. There's also a wireless charging pad in there. But the phone screen couldn't be viewed in there anyway.
If I *don't* plug my phone in to use CarPlay, I *can* stream the music off my phone using bluetooth. But the music quality doesn't seem as strong, there's a lag when manually changing tracks, and of course, I can't use CarPlay.
Makes sense for a lot of people, I’m sure.
I’ve always used a magnet case and a vent clip magnet from Rockform.
I don’t use my phone while driving, but I like it there so I can see if notifications come in. Would be nice if there was a Teams app for CarPlay since I’m usually just looking for work related messages.
Not sure why, but I really thought we would be getting a new city update this morning? NYC and/or London.
...and was just searching through YouTube for any Maps videos...none. I'm seriously thinking about starting my own channel. There are some really horrible ones out there that I have sat through this morning. Hah! I'm sure I would have to do more than Maps, but if that was the focus, maybe I'd actually do it.
EDIT: ….and now that I think about it more, it COULD be a maps only channel that speaks to Apple Maps as well as every other map app out there. Hell, I’d even get a cheap Android phone just so I could do comparisons between systems and same apps on both platforms including CarPlay and Android Auto. Okay…this will become a thing…

It was so weird as I actually checked this morning as part of a Reddit conversation and it was still Yelp.

I’m only on iOS 15, but it is supposed to be on iOS 14 as well.
My favorite Canadian restaurant to visit for chicken and waffles.
