That happens on stand alone devices like Garmin Nuvis too... it's not just Apple Maps...

Girlfriend just tried using Apple Maps and no longer has any Siri guidance. I can still get it fine. Has anybody else experienced this issue?
Oh...I know...but Apple Maps was previously so bad it was distracting. I would be turning and it still had me going down the previous street. The delay was brutal. Spot on now.
Anyone else having issues with the widget for Maps? My girlfriend and I share our work calendars with each other, and every time I 3D Touch on the app, it always shows the quick action to get directions to her work instead of mine. I have her calendar unchecked in the calendar app, but I can't seem to find a way to tell Maps to avoid her work calendar and focus on mine.
Someone pointed it out in the what's new thread locked above...but showing the weather on the bottom right hand corner of the map is awesome!
I want to like Apple Maps so badly. The interface that is has is great. But Apple just fails at updating the actual map data. In Houston the junction of I-10 and I-610 has been under construction for a long time now, and they've realigned all of the roads. Maps still has the original alignments, even though this was done months ago. There's also an entirely new freeway that's been under construction for years that finally opened up two months ago. I'm talking over 20 miles of freeway that's just not there at all in Maps. Both Google and Waze were updated within a day or two in both of these areas.
I agree. Traffic could be a little bit better for me but overall it works well. The auto view adjustments with the traffic now showing in detail view has been great in carplay. I also love that I can ask Siri to find locations along my route. Does anyone know if Maps will re-route when you are in ETA only mode or do you have to have the directions up?
So damn true! I have no idea how anyone couldn't notice that?!
I opened a thread a few days ago and apparently there are a few people who noticed the same so I guess others just ignore that or don't have that detailed vision
or some of noticed it, felt the direction aspect was flawed and moved over to Google Maps, Waze, or something else.

Traffic info keeps turning off in beta 2 for me. This will happen after the app hasn't been used for a while.

When using Maps...and then switching to a phone call...the little box at the top that shows you when a turn is coming up doesn't go away for the phone screen, or snapchat screen, or whatever...even after I close Maps. No big deal...but kind of a visual pita.

I'd love it if they redesigned the icon to match the new look of Apple Maps. Something like this maybe...
obviously the blue location dot would match the current arrow they have in iOS 10, but due to using Keynote this was the best I could do

Agreed. It's about frickin' time Apple copied that over from Verizon's AOL's Mapquest app feature set...
As for traffic, routing, and mapping issues I so can't wait until Apple kicks TomTom's shi..., er, crappy, data sources into the can, closes the lid, waits for the garbage truck to show up, dump it in the back, and drive off...
Used it today for fun while on Interstate 287 here in NJ. Siri called it "Interstate Two Hundred Eighty Seven". Hahahaha that has to be a bug.
Maps in the UK got a new symbol for One Way Streets, and I really don't like it. It used to be an arrow, now it is an arrow in a rectangle of the same colour. The problem is that you can't tell what it is, because when you zoom in it disappears. The only way to tell what it is, is taking a screenshot and zoom in then.
