tbh: I doubt that apple is adding regions to this file just to test something. they have staging systems and stuff. thats a file millions of devices are checking at least once a day... the risk that a regular device pulls that file while they are testing is way too high to test in production...

That's what I thought too which makes the report of the user on itopnews doubtful.

Hello, I’m new to this community but have benn reading the thread since day one:)
Yesterday I talked to a person working in the marketing/IT dept. in one of the participating banks. She even showed me her card which is already working with Apple Pay, internally they can enroll a card, also if Apple Pay isn’t officially started.
Also she confirmed they are being notified by apple about the start a week in advance. And they haven’t been informed yet.
Hence next week Apple Pay won’t launch.
She also doesn’t know what is causing the delay at the moment. Apple won’t comment.

So many insiders here in this forum. This is not a good sign. Im Starting to doubt that Apple Pay will start this year.

Did you guys see this article (in German)?

https://www.itopnews.de/2018/11/i-m...eutschland-bestimmen-und-in-homekit-anzeigen/

They claim that the json file which is responsible for the availability of Apple Pay on iOS was modified several times recently with the addition and removal of Germany for testing purposes...

Also they think it is going to launch tomorrow. Let’s hope it finally launches. I’m sick of waiting

Comments on this article are quiet interesting. This keno guy answered too and gave some additional info’s. I don’t think he’s making it up. But who knows what this means for Apple Pay and when it’s going to launch.

Still strange that apple is „testing“ that with the live system cause this is nothing no one not being a freak and polling that stuff would recocnize...

I still don’t believe the launch will be tomorrow. Probably Tuesday.
To that, comdirect announced maintenance work for this night and a lot commented how it’s because of Apple Pay, but they said that the launch of Apple Pay doesn’t need any maintenance work for them, meaning everything is already ready.

Maybe Apple is waiting for black friday to release AP? I think one day before Black Friday or on Black Friday would be a good release day.

It says „Station 6: Get ready for something new“ - sounds promising in my ears

What does 'Station 6' even mean, is that all there is in the email? They teased Apple Pay two weeks ago already.
In my opinion it is immensely more likely that they are teasing SCT Inst (real time transfers). The readiness date for N26 is 20.11.2018.

Where did you get that date? 20.11? As far as I can see nobody got an email besides this one dude and there is no word about it on Facebook, Twitter or the N26 itself.

No AP launch in Mondays in Europe. I think this is the only basic condition we know for sure.

Hmmm real time transfers is one of two things that would make N26 much more interesting and usable for me.
