Well, you can pay for your Sanifair toilet visit at any stop on the Autobahn contactless and thus with Apple Pay, too.

EDIT: I just visited the website, it says at "many locations", not all. I guess I must have been lucky so far :D

But they are an official Apple Pay partner for Germany. So I guess they have to accept that on every location available. Or at least they now have to update all their stations shortly.
Until now I could use Apple Pay at every Sanifair I visited in the last 1,5 years.

EDIT: Another thought that came to me now, that could show that we won't get girocard support in the near future for Apple Pay. There are many official Apple Pay partners that currently don't accept girocard contactless (McDonald's etc.). So when girocard support appears, many partner would loose their partner status when they don't update their terminals. Because I think Apple wouldn't allow that people could get confused, why they can't use their Apple Pay girocard at official partner McDonald's.

Can someone confirm that all current Apple Pay partners accept all available Apple Pay cards (MC,VISA, Amex)?

In which world is this?

I think you guys are about to make something up that does not exist. As Rewe, BK, McD and so on are often complete independent companies that just bought the right to use the name and get access to the supplies, you have different situations from town to town.

There are BKs or McDs that not even take MasterCard and for sure do not take Amex. I don’t think that this changed in the last few weeks.

This interpretation is a misunderstanding. Any POS partner listed on the website will accept NFC payments. The requirement to be listed as partner probably encompasses supporting CDCVM at the POS. But a partner does not have to accept all payment networks offered on Apple Pay. That is a very different aspect. Since there are many payment networks worldwide, there would be hardly any partners that could be listed that fulfill this requirement.

Do Apple Pay partners in e.g. the US have to accept Carte Bancaire (which is available on AP) if they want to use Apple Pay in their promotions? I bet you not.

Exactly. I have already paid at numerous MCD,BK, KFC with ApplePay since one year. So it is really a local dependency on this. I think there might be some Quick-MCD (these small ones with limited burgers etc ) which night not accept cards at all.

Even if we don't get girocard support for AP, Sparkassen and VR Banken can and maybe will do it like Deutsche Bank does. Deuba says as a customer you only need an account, no Credit Card. So when a customer registers for AP, Deuba and MC create a virtual Mastercard debit only for AP use. The customer may not even realize this, as the €€ are debited directly just like with girocard.
This is a clever solution and I think Apple might bring this closer to Sparkasse and VR Banken as a possibility to offer all of their customers AP (instead of costly modernizing Girocard).

Just a good tip.
Look thoroughly at your N26 accounts!
A friend of mine just had some payments on his n26 without ever using the account numbers anywhere. It was a "Lastschrift" on the Giro account. I now believe that they definitely have lost some data, as my friend would not have fallen into a phishing attack, as his account was "on sleep" for some time.

Hehe. As it might be an internal training site, I would guess webtraining, where would you think he works?
And second: I would guess that he/she has another account here for normal posts and just created this account for this post
Such a clever guy :p

Found an article in German which says, that "DE" was added to the .json a few times in the past days for test purposes.
Did anybody notice that because somebody has a 30 minute script.

Just made a test with my "New Region Script" - it's working... made CN Region 'unknown' to my script and it sent out the email that a new region has been added...
