and that is why no launches in Europe on Monday mornings ;) it would be Sunday in California.

As you see, you have to say it again from time to time .... otherwise the question about Monday comes up every few days.

Yes, true. Sorry again. But it doesn't help that MacRumors posted factually wrong dates. They should be local to the country, so never refer to this: https://www.macrumors.com/roundup/apple-pay/
They simply took the date from when they posted the article in the US and took it as a launch date.

You don’t get it...
Yup. I don’t get why you think, only official launch partners get graphics for use in software, on websites or for print etc. as these graphics are free to download from Apple for everyone with detailed instructions, how to use them.

You are not even forced to create a developers account or something like that.
[doublepost=1543602975][/doublepost]And I don’t get why arguing about it. It does not matter.

I think you agree, that Kaufland won’t know more than the participating banks and this „source“ is as reliable as any other we read the last months.

Just for the theory, they have to put the signs on until Monday ;)

Exactly.

Honestly, this is just an internal Telekom memo that has leaked. They know nothing. The date is just a "let's guess how long it takes to send these stickers to all stores and give them ... idk ... 3 more days and that's the deadline". Else the stickers wouldn't be up before August 2019. It's just an arbitrary deadline.

They obviously don't know the launch, but I'm pretty sure it's not an arbitrary deadline. I'd wager to earn the 'privilege' of being listed on the official AP website you have to follow some guidelines and commitments ...

I'm working at dm..and we haven't got any stickers in the latest push which was friday ^^... and the next one will be friday next week....
(And we haven't got any informations at all regarding apple pay, at least in my store)

Don’t know why you should get information? Paying already since 11 Months at DM with ApplePay
Was one of my first stores I tried it.

I know that its working ;) i have 2 ApplePayBunq Cards and boon in my portfolio... but at least when google pay started in germany we got an short briefing.

What currently annoys me as well is that BackWerk is listed as an official partner, even though only maybe 1 in 5 Backwerks accept card payments at all

Hopefully, in order to be listed on the official partners site, they agreed to upgrade 100% of the stores to contactless payments. Hopefully. Last time I visited Backwerk at Berlin Hbf, the very friendly cashier was completely and hopelessly confused by the payment terminal she took out of a drawer and had to enter the amount manually.

The Telekom shop in my city has put up the Apple Pay Sticker. As others have pointed out, this probably doesn’t mean anything, but I thought I’d share it anyways... just to fuel the Rumors ;)

When you think about start on Monday, how many guys do you think has Apple to send in on Sunday San Francisco time to handle this? One? I believe they anyhow have people working on sundays...
So I would not say Monday is totally out of scope because of the other starts before.
I do see that Apple has some pressure now to push the button before Christmas, it is a valuable time I believe for credit card companies and Apple, too.
