It is coming soon, ING announced that themselves. The ING app in NL also now apparently has all the components needed for in-app provisioning and it got another mysterious update a few days ago (according to update description). I'd guess that a launch is probably in June, latest beginning of July. It will be interesting to see how long the exclusivity agreement with ING will last - bunq, Revolut and others will probably follow fairly quickly...

On the German side of the border: Any news on ING launching here? It's all gone very quiet - whilst DKB keeps shouting #soon!

And you also forgot that DKB only has good conditions if you send at least 700€ to the account every month :/

Nice card for anyone who does not have a DKB Visa.

It's not a real credit card. Funds are locked whilst transactions are blocked and/or pending. I still feel like bunq is too expensive for what it offers.

They should simplify their account types and just offer Free with basic card use, Premium and Business. All these other customers with a Promo (100/250€ max. use), Joint, Pack or Travel Card account type are making things difficult to understand.

For 7,99€ a month you can usually get a damn fine account with a traditional bank + credit card or a decent free account from a direct bank + great premium credit card with additional extras.

FinTechs need to be careful they don't price themselves out of the market. N26 and Revolut are going down that route. 14-16€ per month for a basic account, some extra features/insurance packages and debit/prepaid cards isn't exactly cheap compared to the incumbent banks.

I'm with you, that they should not differ between premium, joint, pack...

but on the other hand, the "new" joint offer is now the reason, I reopened an account at bunq and invited my wife. The features are worth the money at my point of view, but this is something everyone has to decide for himself. The two priced N26 offerings never made any sense to me personally. (and still no joint accounts or any other requested and promised feature in the last 18 to 24 months...)

You are right, that the new direct banks (even hard to see bunq or revolut as "fintechs" anymore, N26 is never ever one... they are now a plain regular direct bank like the ones founded back in the 2000s....) have to find a way to differ from standard banks, to keep their "new touch" but still earn money. either in features that are worth the costs or in lower costs but higher efficiency.

Some thoughts at the last point... the one or other bank learns that some things regular "old" banks do, are done and are done that special way for a reason. And that staff is mandatory for some tasks and legal requirements.

Just wanted to mention that the new joint plan can be shared with multiple people too. Doesn’t matter if you share it with one two or three people. The only limit is that you have a max of four cards available.

And with the update yesterday you can finally top up bunq with credit and debit cards. 500 € are free then it costs 0.5 % for EEA cards and 2.5 % for non EEA cards.

As Apple doesn‘t know your card details and every device generates its own virtual card that is matched to the real card later in the payment process by your bank, you can add your card to multiple iPhones and watches. Technically. If it is against the rules and t&c of your Bank and Apple, i don’t know.

But it is possible. It is the same thing if you add your card to your iPhone and your Watch. Same physical card, different devices, different „virtual“ cards.
