Its because our banks are arrogant and wont work with them. Thats the sad truth for germany nothing else...
The iOS market share for Poland isn’t even 10%, why would they launch in Poland? Just to hit google and Samsung Pay?!
Ukraine (18%) and Norway (53%) does make sense!
Hey, for rehabilitation: he twittered "may be announced..."N4p84 wrong again - no suprise... its a pity but its no suprise

In germany if you would ask anyone they would argue with privacy thats the ironic part about it... Apple Pay is the best thing for privacy and they dont realize it. (or dont want to)Germany has to enter the digital age at some point, I hope. No Apple or Google Pay, slow broadband in many places, mobile data allowances are pathetic, free Wi-Fi in trains, bars, etc is a rare thing. This is beyond a joke, and is hurting the economy.
I mean the big banks like Sparkasse... Apple Pay wont lauch with N26 or Banks like that i dont think so. Apple Pay is also about image, if they would launch with small banks like N26 everyone would think of it as a niche thing and they dont want that.
Yeah. That's it.
- American Express
- Wirecard
- Bunq
- N26
- UniCredit (HpyoVereinsbank)
- Barclaycard
- Santander
...
Are all totally arrogant and don't want to work with Apple.
Hmm dont think they launched with them did they?Ok. Deutsche Bank, Postbank, DAB, Commerzbank, ING-DiBa, SEB ... all so small or so arrogant sad. so sad.
yeah. they did not launch, because Apple does not want to launch yet.Hmm dont think they launched with them did they?
I would also add to this list Austria, Belgium und Luxembourg. Don't get it what's so different here.I suspect the Dutch and German banks are as much to blame, let’s hope they’ll find a way out at some point.

I still think that we will see Sparkasse launch its Android NFC Payment along with Apple Pay. Following this thread Apple Pay will start in Poland in mid of June. So there is still enough time to start AP in Germany on 30th of July (when Sparkassen will go NFC on Android)...
In my opinion this is the only reason Apple Pay has not been announced/started in Germany. We do have enough banks who wouldn't wait starting Apple Pay here (N26, bunq, ING-Diba, etc). Some of them already working with Apple Pay in other countries. So there is no reason not to start it in Germany. And Sparkasse is big enough that Apple would 'wait' for them to get their stuff ready.
Just forget it Sparkasse and Volksbanken will be Android only! They just dont care about apple.
Hints about when Apple Pay is coming to Germany have been few and far between over the last year, with negotiations between Apple and German banks allegedly stalling due to conflicting views over fees and controls.Let's use this thread to discuss Apple Pay in Germany...
Experiences, developments etc. all in a single thread!

The last rumor came back in May in previous year and suggested that Apple Pay would launch in the country in the fall or winter, but today one MacRumors reader provided us with another potential hint that Apple is gearing up to introduce its mobile payment system in Germany imminently.
Where?!
Yes, sure... The next Insider?Hints about when Apple Pay is coming to Germany have been few and far between over the last year, with negotiations between Apple and German banks allegedly stalling due to conflicting views over fees and controls.

I dont think there were any serious talk between Sparkasse and Apple at all - Sparkasse Organisation will have an own solution, since the own solution cant work with Apple - they just blend it off and Go with android. Sorry to Break your Hopes but at least this Or i also think next Year i dont expect Apple Pay from Sparkasse oder Volksbanken to Go live!then there is absolutely no explanation why we don't have Apple Pay. only explanation was 'apple is waiting for Sparkasse' to have a huge player with them and not doing the same 'mistake' like they did in Switzerland...
