Another store to add to the dinosaur list: topman and topshop.
Had contactless capable machines but not enabled.

Went for a bit of shopping yesterday and it seems no clothes retailer bothers with contactless. Gap, Next, River Island, Topshop like you mentioned... so annoying when you’re just getting a couple of low value things!

That’s a good point actually, there aren’t many that do. The only clothing retailers that come to mind for me that I know take contactless are Primark, New Look, Adidas and Nike outlet. I’ve even used Apple Pay >£30 in Nike a few times.

Our local Asda has had their petrol station demolished and rebuilt.

They now support contactless (they didn’t before) but it’s limited to £30 which is really annoying when paying for fuel.

During the building phase I’ve been using a nearby Torq garage and they support unlimited Apple Pay.

Whenever I hear about another place accepting >£30 Apple Pay…

Is this contactless at pay at the pump or have they rebuilt with a kiosk?

Talking of contactless Pay@Pump now Tesco have new Clubcards I wonder if our PFS sites will see an upgrade?

Would be good if they did enable Apple Pay for out of hours operations as you earn more Clubcard points with their credit cards.

Luckily my local garage is BP in that respect and they've been Apple Pay friendly for some time now. I find it's 100x easier to use the phone than the watch though based on the fact the contactless reader is on the right hand side of the chip & pin machines (I wear my Watch on the right wrist because I am weird - right handed..).

They’ve rebuilt with 2 kiosks, the kind you drive to after using the pump (and then try and work out how to get your left wrist out of the window so you can pay!)

It has Pay at pump for overnight use but that doesn’t support contactless from what I can see.

Is there a start date specified? I spent £62 via ApplePay on Thursday (though I haven’t had the email).

Would appear it’s any Apple Pay >£50 store rather than specific retailers...

Just where to spend that kind of £!

As online is off the agenda, there’s not that many.
Spent a load in the Apple store this week but used my John Lewis card to gain vouchers.
I guess I’ll be buying my waitroseshop with my Barclaycard next week...

As somebody who used to work in a Tesco petrol station, I can tell you it happened very regularly but the admin fee is only applied when not paid within 7 days so looks like that poster is just trying to get some goodwill vouchers.

Also suggesting the stores that don’t take >£30 are archaic is a bit of a long stretch - I can’t even imagine the backend required to roll out changes to so many stores!

Was wondering about the the admin fee so thanks.

He could have bought a couple of gift cards to pay.
